LOL, DR Cillaliz.  It sounds like someone needs to turn their frown upside down.

Exactly.

Thanks, DR Jeanne! It was an intensive week. I am enjoying my down time today!

Open enrollment starts today, as DR Jrand64 pointed out, so next week will be crazy.

Cilla, didn't you post recently that bought a new coat? How nice. What's it like? I saw a puff jacket online the other day that I liked. I didn't think I needed another jacket, but ordered it, anyway. I don't have much occasion to wear such things, but we do--very infrequently--have a bit of rain. That's my rationale.

This should be a link to the coat. I upsized and got it with lots of room.  I'm still very comfortable with layers underneath, something that doesn't happen when I buy the "right" size.   I should have done that years ago

Not sure if I've wished you well on the new job, I think I did, but want to be sure I did.

Last night, I ushered a production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Excellent. Great performance from the guy playing George. The Martha was distractingly wigged to look like Liz Taylor, but not in the move of Virginia Woolf.

Only about 100 people showed up, including about 30 students, but they were quiet and attentive throughout the long three hours of the show.

But if the cast is perfect, those three hours can really fly by.

Pamela Reed just did Martha at the Seattle Rep.  She is now doing VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE at Seattle's ACT Theatre.  She has gotten raves for both shows.

I was just thinking of Pamela Reed this morning. There's a woman in my Viennese Waltz class who looks enough like her to be her sister.

Loved Reed in an old sitcom called "Grand" that was yanked before its time.

I've been reviewing insurance possibilities today.  I want to stick with BCBS since I've had it so long, but I'm really not liking my options.

I have a ticket to the Symphony tonight.  It's the New World Symphony and others stuff.  I don't think I'm going out.  The roads are slick and it's still snowing.  I"m fine here at home with my kitties.

I enjoyed GRAND, too.  Pam kind of snuck back into town here in Tacoma, without telling most people that she was coming.

Good morning, all! I slept late. I've been very tired lately.

Now that I am up and moving, I have various and sundry things to accomplish, mostly work on Paint Your Wagon and a vocal score for Jerome Moross' Civil War musical Gentlemen Be Seated.  i'm happy the Moross work came through since i hope it will help to pay my way through Christmas.

I've also decided to put up on eBay some expensive books I own and hope they sell at a good price. I hate to do it, but I've got to survive until some good paying work comes in.

Today's move of Theater Artists Olympia's stuff went quite well and didn't take as long as I thought it might.  I got some good reading in, and now I need to take a shower, get dressed to usher for The Comic Strippers, then pick up my friend from the airport right after the performance.  Hopefully, she won't have to wait too long, but it'll take me as long as it takes me to get to the airport, which is 54 miles north of where I am now. :-\

Hi Jeanne!  I had a post saying "Boo" or whatever to my happy snow post on facebook. So I announce that I was deleting all negative posts about the snow.  I immediately got another negative post from the same person, lol.  I deleted it

Well I dislike snow, so I did find it odd that you would be happy to see it.  There may be a bit of snow here tomorrow (when i checked earlier it said less than 1 cm). i am not too worried about that, but I think there could be more on monday which i really do not want. Maybe you can take my snow. :)

I guess I had better get out my winter boots.  I will stick with shoes until there is snow.

This isn't aimed at you personally and I understand that others don't feel the way I do, but winter is my favorite season and summer is my least favorite.  Every year I am so happy that it snows and if I say that, people start telling me no it's bad and going off on some rant against winter.  I am tired of it and I'm not going to put up with it on my facebook page. I am also going to stop being quiet about liking winter.  I've started telling anyone who grouses about it in an elevator or walking down the halls in our building or wherever that it's my favorite season and I really don't want to hear their complaints.  Of course, they can still complain, I just don't want to listen to it.

The flip side is if I ever complain because it's hot - which makes me physically ill - people tell me I'm crazy and summer is wonderful. So it back at em.
