Thursday morning greetings!  Thank you to everybody who has posted travel vibes for us for today.  I really don't want to leave, but I am looking forward to my own shower and having a bedside reading lamp again.  We'll be out of the apartment by about 11 for our flight from LGA at 2.

I am not looking forward to my own shower.  I love the outdoor shower here.  Fortunately I used it before the hard, extremely loud rain began.

I should mention, too, that there's a link between pain and hydration. I find that if I don't stay fully hydrated I experience more pain. I'm trying alkaline water to see if that helps. Too soon to say, but the concept is valid.

Drinking water helps my muscles have less pain.

KennedyKat is a newly registered dear reader.  Not sure how she was able to post a new topic, because when we set up the site it was set up so only I can begin new topics under Daily Discussions.  I'm sure during one of our updates something got undone, but it's back to the way it should be now, and here is KennedyKat's post and feel free to welcome and comment within this thread.

Welcome new Dear Reader KennedyKat!

The Novocain was supposed to wear off in two hours.  I would say at this point in time it has worn off not one iota.  I'm hungry but alas cannot eat until it's completely worn off.  It feels like that may in fact be ANOTHER two hours.

Dental vibes for DR JEANNE.

And DR JANE and DR JEANNE are correct.....particular if you have muscle pain or spasms.....drinking water or other liquids to maintain hydration will be a great help.

I thought the rain was loud before.  We have to shout to hear over it.  I took my hearing aids out-lol

Novocain finally wore down enough where I could eat - creamy tomato penne pasta - went down easy.  No bread, no nothing else.  I bought some tap tap tapioca pudding for dessert, which I'll eat later tonight.  By the end of lunch the Novocain was pretty much gone, leaving only pain.

I picked up a couple of packages and Mr. Fed Ex man just brought a screener for something that sounds horrible - Get On Up.  Never heard of it.

Ah, it's the James Brown biopic - actually sounds good - don't like the title.

Sandy landed in the midwest today, but I won't have a moment to listen before Saturday, I regret to report.

I spoke to DR Kate.  She and her husband were almost evacuated from their home.  They were afraid the roof would collapse. Luckily some guys were removing the snow from the house across the street and DR Kate and DH Jerry hired them to work on their house.  It took 5 guys two hours to do it. The streets have been plowed but there's a driving ban. She said they didn't get too much snow today.  Another problem is that it's going to warm up over the weekend and rain is predicted so they're worried about flooding.   Vibes needed!
