PLEASE DON'T FLUSH FOREIGN OBJECTS DOWN THE TOILET

Well, you've read the notes, the notes flushed no foreign objects down the toilet save for a Russian snood, and now it is time for you to post until the Danish cows come home.

To answer George's question about The Gift of the Magi - this was a newer version of it - by songwriter Beverly Bremers.

Good.  I really like the version with songs by Randy Courts and Mark St. Germain. :)

Today is a busy singing day, with two different Lessons & Carols services in two different churches.

Good morning. Today the children will present the nativity during church. We never know who will show up, so that makes it interesting.

I think that Putting It Together and Marry Me A Little don't succeed as shows is that they give the performers characters to play and a "plot" to play.

The songs are enjoyable to listen to and at the time Marry Me A Little had many Sondheim trunks songs that were never heard before.

Good morning, all!  The damned dog has been barking since 9:00am this morning. It's quieted down for the moment, but I want it dead.

This Macbook makes me crabby; it was fine for carting to Ireland, but its autocorrect transforms my poor typing into words of its choice and, as I mentioned yesterday, the damned print is so small I can hardly see it. This leads to a thought: why do people want to watch a movie on a cell phone?

I've got a few things to wrap and some Jerome Moross work to attend to.

I saw Putting It Together with Andrews courtesy of seats by Mr. Sondheim. There was a talk back afterwards Stephen Collins and Patrick Quinn who was subbing for Michael Rupert at the performance I saw.

Andrews sings I'm Not Getting Married Today and Like It was. Her "Husband" (Collins' character) has two different names and I asked "Is your name Paul (Married Today) or Charlie (Like It Was)?

His response was "You're an actor aren't you" (At the time I was doing some acting) And then said Paul was her first husband and she's married to Charlie, me.

Good morning, all.

It's a Sunday morning here, and I am drinking a Krispy Kreme K-cup.  Not that those two things have anything to do with each other.

I have heard that the Carol Burnett-Bronson Pinchot version of Putting It Together was quite the bloodbath backstage......I have heard.....

I had the video, but I don't have a VCR hooked up to my television anymore....so I can't watch it.

Many, many years ago when I was still single, I wrote this lyric, which Michael Silversher set to music.  I think the words were indicative of how people felt about dating way back then.

This weekend, I got inspired; decided to find some footage and turn "I Don't Want to Meet Him" into a music video.

Do singles still feel this way?

Good morning.  Had to be at church to set up the computer for a presentation at the 7:00am Mass, in which there is no music, but since I'm the one that deals with the tech in the church, I was there.  Now I'm sitting in a Starbucks doing some things on the internet and about ready to head back to said church for the rest of the morning.

Last night the DD and I dressed the house with holly bright and sprigs of mistletoe.   Actually, I dressed the house, the DD stayed in the bedroom asleep on the bed.  But I got some lights going, inside and outside, decorated the very small tree, and put out some cute decor.  I believe that will suffice for the festive-ness of the apartment this season.

Good job, Druxy - was this written for characters in a show or movie to sing, or a pop number?

It was written as a stand alone song.
