Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a novel beginning, and now it is time for you to post until the novel cows come home.

Today I'm going to sit in my balance ball chair whilst wearing pedal pushers. Now won't THAT be a sight?      :)

Good morning, all!

This is Friday? I have lost all sense of time in the past two weeks.

I have physical therapy this morning.  I went on Tuesday, and when I arrived, I was told my appointment had been the day before and they wondered why I hadn't called.  I think this wil be my last round. My doctor leaves next week and my HMO hasn't assigned me a new one, and I have no idea whom to ask for a new referral. I also feel that, much as I love it, I've reached a status quo and it's doing nothing for me but keeping me limber and forcing me to exercise, which is not a bad thing at all.

I love the Isaac Bashevis Singer things I've read, and he wrote a wonderful play that died in a really short Broadway run around 1980, Teibele and The Demon. I really loved it, but the critic did not. So, I looked forward to Lentl and really hated it: Shtetl by Laura Ashley.  I do remember that Amy Irving was absolutely gorgeous.

I have never read his rant about the film but I would like to.

Good morning, all.

I remember enjoying Yentl the first time I saw it at the theater. Then, seeing it on cable, I found it interminable. The score really irritated me on that second viewing -- and it still does. It's like the Bergmans took what worked in Ballroom and made it worse on film. If this had been a stage musical, I'm sure the audience would have let them know that much of it needed to be replaced.

Saw it again about 10 years ago and was somewhere in the middle. It has its moments, and I think Amy Irving is one of them. It's also Mandy Patinkin's most restrained performance.

Amen. I'm alone at the office. And in a space that houses several hundred people, it's weird to be the sole person. I hear rumblings from people way far away, but I can't actually see them.

Nothing could compel me to see a motion picture titled YENTL and starring Barbra Streisand....not then and not now.

Friday morning greetings!  I slept for 9 solid hours last night, something I haven't done since before Thanksgiving.  Didn't even stay up last night for the second half of the Sugar Bowl.  The Ohio State hype will be insufferable for the next 10 days...

Good morning, all.

Fed kitties and went back to bed for some extra sleep.  I guess it did the job, but now I am quite groggy.

And yes, the days are entirely screwed up.  It does not feel like a Friday.  I would say it feels like a Monday.

Coffee!

Indeed, DR ChasSmith, it does feel like a Monday.  It's been challenging enough for me to keep track of the days the past 2 weeks and my poor Mother has really been confused.  I don't blame that entirely on her age.

Please keep my Dear Niece in your thoughts and prayers.  She had severe abdominal pain last night and was rushed to the hospital. She ended up having emergency surgery in the middle of the night to stop some severe abdominal bleeding.  I don't really know more except that she is out of recovery, talking and may go home later today.   I haven't talked to anyone there, just got notified via email.  I have to wonder if it isn't related to her two c sections in a year and a half
