The first book.  It is for the paperback.

I have the e-book. It must be US only as I can't see the giveaway.

I didn't realize Top Chef was airing a day later in Canada. Good to know so I can try to avoid spoilers in 2 weeks for the finale.

I received an email because I have the book marked to read.  I check & my eBook library has it now.  I hope you read it first so I know to read it or not :)

Oh, no, DR Jane - nothing bad, just sounds like people are having fun and enjoying the city.  There wasn't really any reason for me to go this early, though.

Rod McKuen has died.  I was not much of a fan of his work, but  I enjoyed working with him on a Ben Bagley recording around 1982 or 83. He was very kind.

I was just listening to him sing Kern's The Folks Who Live on the Hill yesterday or the day before.

FEEL-BETTER-PRONTO VIBES to JOHN G.

My recommendation would be magnesium.

Funny, but I was thinking the same thing.

Thank you, all, for the good wishes and vibes.

I didn't move my head a lot, so I was able to keep the pain largely at bay. If I had gone to dance class, I'd have been a goner for sure.

Today was a day of rest.  Tomorrow must needs, and so shall, be a busy one.

And I must return to preparing SHE LOVES ME.  Where was I, about a third of the way through it?

The Britten PAUL BUNYAN recording was in my mail, so perhaps I can listen to some of that whilst puttering around on other things tomorrow.

I think I'll go to bed by eleven - and I don't have to wake up before nine-thirty.

I watched some Korean thriller on Netflix - average but did the trick of killing ninety minutes where I could just zone on the couch like so much fish.

Listening to the master for what will probably be our next release.  It's pretty major, especially for fans of film musicals.  For the first time complete on two CDs.

The worst blizzard I remember is 1978 and we were snowed in literally for a week.  It was great

I was in law school when the Challenger exploded and I was watching it on my little black and white tv right before going to class. I was in shock for a long time after that

Ricky was pretty lethargic tonight. Just wanted to sit on my lap and sleep.  He doesn't usually do that.  We have a follow up visit to the vet tomorrow.  I'm wondering if he isn't in pain with his broken tooth. If so, I really want to take care of that as soon as we can

I don't have much other news.  Just working away at the office.  I'm still playing around with my schedule and am enjoying it on my own.  There are translation issues now and then, but all in all, it's been really good.

Saturday night is Rockin  Pollock.  I must say I don't really like the Pollock Mural, but the party should be fun.  They're already at capacity (500) and have a waiting list.  I don't normally like parties that big, so I may not stick around the whole time, but a lot of my friends will be there, so we'll just see how it goes.   It's supposed to snow so I don't know if I'll go to the after party or not.   But it should be a fun evening
