I heard a new Internet term today: FVG for full-volume guffaw. The wordsmith felt LOL is too limiting.

Cute :)

Magnesium threonate is the best form for migraines, IMO. But in the throes of a migraine I'd think that any form of magnesium would do. My osteopath now has no more headaches due to mag threonate. We are both using Life Extension's Neuro Mag. Pricey, but I use the cheaper forms daily and keep Neuro Mag when I feel a headache coming on.

Next time I need magnesium, which will be awhile, I will try the threonate.  I hadn't heard of this.  I get most of my migraines at night so popping one wouldn't be easy to do.

I have been sitting here refreshing my screen like crazy waiting for my niece's swimming results.  She did great. And thankfully she swam 8 races and was not disqualified. They are extremely picky at the meet she is at. So far in the relays 4 out of the 6 teams (not hers) have been disqualified.

How very disappointing for the teams that were disqualified.  Congrats to your niece.

This pool is known to disqualify a lot.  Sadly the #1 team from my niece's pool got disqualified. They would have come in first (not that they get medals or anything).

Why are they disqualified?  Is it something the children or the coach do wrong or for something they can't really help?

In the last 3 days we had 6 inches of rain.  We expected more today but it only rained while we were out for a walk.

Sunday evening greetings!  Today was a Lima day for us and I woke up at 4:30am, an hour earlier than necessary.  Needless to say, I had to have a nap when we got home.  Slept for 2 hours in my recliner and feel much better.

Tony Bennett (this time with Lady Gaga) has won the Traditional Pop Album Grammy over Barbra for the umpteenth time.   Needless to say the fans on Facebook are not amused.

Would you like freshly ground pepper on that?

I just saw one of those advertised in a catalog.

FJL, would anyone really want to claim to be the father of Peter Pan? At least of that Peter Pan?
TCB, is your new Wolfgang Puck oven one of the pressure ovens? Do let us know how you like it. I've long hoped someone would invent a speedy oven that is not a microwave. That said, I'm having trouble getting my head around the concept of a pressure oven. But I'm still struggling with the 3-D printing concept, too. (WHAT?? 3-D printing? How can that be?)

Yes, Jeanne, this is one of the pressure ovens.  You don't use the pressure part for all of your cooking, but I assume that the pressure is why you can cook a 10 lb. turkey in 45 minutes.  I will let you know how I like it.

If I was riding in a helicopter, and the helicopter in front of me was hit by a missle, you can be damn sure I would remember in which helicopter I was riding.

Thanks, Jane!  It did, and they announced that over the two weekend concerts we raised over $23,000 for women's rights advocacy.

Nice parody, DR FJL. They always make me guffaw out loud at maximum volume (GOLAMV, in Internet speak).

I realize, of course, that some would not consider a dog a year or older a puppy.

We are rushing headlong into the final crazed week of open enrollment for healthcare. The deadline is this Sunday night at midnight.

This afternoon, I watched an intersting previous TV version of THE FLASH.  John Wesley Shipp played the title character.  He is a very handsome man (or he was in 1990), but not a great actor.

Hello all I spent most of yesterday being very very angry over my work situation I won't go into it but I was not good company and therefore I was not here

The morning at church gave me some peace so My plan for tomorrow is to paste a smile on over my gritted teeth and attempt not to
A) kill anyone
B) have a nervous breakdown

We made good time since it was 3:45 am and managed to completely avoid hitting
1) the jeep with 3 wheels half on  the center meridian and half on the left lane
2) the 4th wheel which was standing up right in the center lane
3) the 2 persons,   dressed in black , standing in the right lane
4) the huge shock absorber spring in the left Lane

Do you see those 2 people in the orchestra? That just about where Vixdad and I were sitting when the Vixter sang there with her school choir
