This is strange. Curious about the various stars Marni Nixon has dubbed for I began reading an article from June, 2013. Included is the following:

"She also went on to have concert success, toured for years with Liberace, and hosted Boomerang, a popular children's television show in Seattle. (A son, Andrew Gold, who died in 2011, was a recording star in his own right, with the hit single Lonely Boy and the theme to TV's Golden Girls, Thank You for Being a Friend)."

My cousin had an older brother that wasn't close to the family. I didn't see him very often, though I did speak to him on the phone, and hadn't met his children. Two of them were at the service and, since they were sitting in the "reserved for family" section across from us, I made a beeline to them immediately following the service. They are very nice and I returned home to find a facebook friend request from one of them.

Right after my last post I became friends with the sibling I met on Saturday. Now I have both the brother & sister, whom are apparently very close.

Pogue used to always be with us for our Oscar bashes. Today he lives only on Facebook, where he had all of two or three responses to whatever stuff he was posting about the show. Oh, well.

Other people there really do think Facebook is about THEM. I know many of these people for many, many years, both in and out of the business, and it's pretty hilarious to watch the pontificating and pronouncements about anything and everything, thinking that they have this huge audience. Note to folks: Afraid not.

It is a very strange problem and I am rather surprised it is ongoing. I expected everyone to have been able to return by the time I returned from my weekend with my family.

Well, I must be off. Tonight is Theater Artists Olympia's monthly board meeting. It was supposed to be last Tuesday, but too many people were not available, but enough are tonight.
