And no, we didn't stay there.  It's very very very pricey, and not even as nice and relaxing as others we like.  But it's great to spend a couple of hours there.

Just put one of our favorite dinners in the oven - a beef "stroganoff" casserole.  Great for a snowy evening...

Recipe please!!

2 pounds stew beef, cut in 1" cubes
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
1 cup white cooking sherry

Combine in deep oven dish and top with 8 oz. sliced fresh mushrooms.  Cover and bake at 325 for 3 hours.  Serve over noodles with a green vegetable and crusty bread.

Also in the Contemporary...
This one is much more ordinary, but hey, it's got a monorail running alongside it.

See?

DR ChasSmith, it's a recipe my Dad found in the newspaper about 40 years ago.  My copy is in his handwriting.

I had a very nice hike with my group today and returned home to find a beautiful, clean and organized garage.

I must go for a hike

That's nice.  I wish I had recipes in my mother's writing.  I have a couple from Keith's mother.

Cream of mushroom and Lipton onion soup mix are two things I like and don't use anymore.  DR Ginny, I am guessing this is a splurge from your heart diet.

I have tempered good news. I got the blood test back regarding my thyroid. It is basically negative for what they are looking for, but they recommend another test.

I got the report in an email from the hospital, the scan is practically unreadable. So I will call the hospital tomorrow to get a better copy and have the doctor explain it to me.

Congrats on the tempered good news, may it soon be all good.

On so many levels, DR Jane...

Hey, this is Ask BK day, so:

What do you use to record stuff, like at the piano?

The reason I ask is that, in a continuing effort to ketchup with the new millennium, I recently discovered I'd like to have a portable digital audio recorder such as a Zoom, Tascam, or the like.

Example:   http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/h4n

Like Adriana Hofstetter, I use my iPhone and the iRecorder app.  Then you just log on to a web address given and download it right to your computer.

Well, the snow is on its way.  Some of the school systems have already announced they'll be closed tomorrow.

We saw that the other night, DR KevinH, and loved it!  Tonight we have 1960-63 pop, which is more Richard's era than mine.

So far not Craig's school.  I had looked a little while ago and re-checked when I read this.  I'll keep watching.

Do you have to go out in it?

I'm thinking that federal offices will be closed but there's been no announcement yet.

I would like to thank everyone who offered up vibes and good thoughts for my sister.  They were much appreciated and seemed to work quite well.

Great news.
