Today at work, I HAVE to be at a meeting at 10:00.  Since that's usually when I (aim to) get to work, I MUST get there earlier.  I'm on a committee to look at potential new and different health care providers and options for the library system.  I was given some stuff to look at, but I haven't had a lot of time to look at it, what with being in a show, and all.  So, I'll glance through it in the morning.  I don't think that the committee is expecting a recommendation today, so I should be okay.  I missed the previous meeting because I was not told when it would be.  They just forgot to include me on their e-mails.  Spoo on them.  Anyway, I'm off to bed now.

Have a good day, all!

13 degrees right now but it is supposed to rise into the 40s by the weekend and melt much of the slush and ice.

Ditto, getting ready to get ready for going to the tax office.  March 15th is a big corporate tax deadline.

Good morning, all!  I slept quite well.  I had a weird dream that I was recording Menotti's opera The Saint of Bleecker Street with Diana Montague and frustrated by a cast that did not sound New Yawkish at all. I remember Diana and Judy Sherman being iin it, and that's about it.

This morning, I will run down to City Center, visit briefly with Joshie, then head to Chelsea Music and finish the two charts I began yesterday,  I'm hoping I can be out of there no later than 3-3:30 so I can get home and deposit that City Center check.

Not sure of my weekend at all.  I am hoping that my accountant's office calls and I can stop there, sign my forms, and wait for the refund.  I may have work with Joshie or Chelsea Music as well.  We will see.

I have a comfortably busy day ahead of me, so shan't be here very much.

I do rather wish I hadn't awakened feeling like a truck had run over me.  But what are you gonna do?  Right?

Been dancing since 5:30. One more segment to go. Then on to work. Odd morning.

TOD:

Received a box set of Douglas Sirk movies yesterday, so I'll probably watch one or all of the following:

THE TARNISHED ANGELS
CAPTAIN LIGHTFOOT
TAZA, SON OF COCHISE.

All of the above star Rock Hudson.

Viewed THUNDER ON THE HILL last night.

A question for DR Cillaliz when she checks in tonight:

About the juror who wouldn't budge:  Since she was anti-death penalty going into the whole thing and she would have been asked under oath about her feelings about the death penalty, could she be charged with perjury for not disclosing her belief?  In theory and in reality?

Question re DNS issues:

Ben posted the other day on how to flush your DNS cache, so I know how to get a command prompt and do that.  Haven't actually done it, but I'd feel confident doing it.

So how does one change their DNS server from Google (or whatever) to another?  Of course this is bound to be different for every system.  Mine is Windows 7.  I've googled it and read through a couple of instructions, and truthfully I'd be reluctant to try flying solo on it the first time.

Charles, that I don't know how to do. I would have to look at the things you've googled to see what's involved. As I said about flushing the DNS cache, I think that's fairly simple, even for a non-tech person but changing the DNS from Google or some other search engine to another is out of my bailiwick at the moment.
