DR LAURA during the voir dire she said she could vote for DP if she felt the evidence merited it.

I actually think LWOP will be better in the long run, no state paid for appeals....she is on her own....and no appeals except in the state.  I don't think she can appeal to a federal court.  And no bleeding hearts getting involved in her case for their own publicity.

So now she can be sentenced and disappear into the system....probably to be killed by a fellow prisoner or two....found mysteriously dead somewhere on the grounds....

The only thing I really hated was seeing her FAT ASS lying attorney standing on the courthouse steps saying:  "The defense team will take no questions on the day of this great victory!"

Friday morning greetings!  We are waiting for a midday delivery and will then venture out for some shopping.  I haven't been out since Tuesday afternoon and I'm a little stir-crazy.  Looks like we have a big thaw comin' our way - none too soon!

I'm not sure flushing a cache would work with this particular problem.  It had to ultimately be fixed by Cox.  I have no idea how long it will take to fix the Google problem, but since it's affecting many more people it will probably be faster.  The Cox problem was finally fixed yesterday because my guy got on the phone with their tech people and worked through it.  Changing the DNS server on a Mac took about four seconds.  I just went to system preferences, "network", advanced settings, "DNS", and changed one address number, hit "okay" then "apply" and that was it.  When the Google thing is fixed I'll go repeat that and put back in the Google DNS number, which is very easy - 8.8.8.8.

JRand, yes, I know she SAID that on voir dire. But maybe she lied when she said it in order to get on the jury.

That's the problem DR LAURA.....now it turns out that the Prosecutor on the case had prosecuted and jailed her first and second husbands on domestic violence charges....and that she is friends with the daughter of the mitigation expert in the case.....

No, you sure can't.

But isn't a power cord something you pick up off the shelf?  Does replacing that require a Genius?

I'm still new to that world, as you can see!

Back from the Dino's Pizza meeting - the pizza, of which I had three slices, was amazing, as always.

And I am home. I've had enough slipping and sliding around streets and sidewalks for the past two days and I am glad to be in.  I waited over twenty minutes for a 104 bus this morning since I just missed the ne that arrived around 9:15. The next was due at 9:29 and never showed.  Around 9:40, a NOT IN SERVICE bus came down Broadway and I flipped the driver the bird since by that point my hands and ears were getting numb. Around 10-15 minutes after that, two buses arrived. Goddam MTA

So, I got to City Center around 30 minutes later than anticipated, visited with Joshie and Rob Berman for about 20 minutes and waited another 20 minutes for aNo 7 buys. What the hell?

So, does no sign of DR Singdaw  mean that the Google problem still exists? Or was it repaired and he doesn't know?

My accountant's office just called, and I will go in tomorrow and sign all the forms.  Tonight, I've hopefully got my Britcoms, unless the PBS drive is still on, and as soon as GRIMM is off the air, I'm going to bed.

Today at work, I HAVE to be at a meeting at 10:00.  Since that's usually when I (aim to) get to work, I MUST get there earlier.  I'm on a committee to look at potential new and different health care providers and options for the library system.  I was given some stuff to look at, but I haven't had a lot of time to look at it, what with being in a show, and all.  So, I'll glance through it in the morning.  I don't think that the committee is expecting a recommendation today, so I should be okay.  I missed the previous meeting because I was not told when it would be.  They just forgot to include me on their e-mails.  Spoo on them.  Anyway, I'm off to bed now.

Have a good day, all!

The meeting this morning went well.  I just sat there and listened to the questions and answers that everyone else asked and answered.  It kind of looks like I just need to be there to be another person on the Supervisors' Union side.  I won't have to do any real research or anything like that.  Our next meeting is a week from next Wednesday, and then it'll pretty much be about once a month.  The best part is that it's on work time!  At first, we (the union side) had to ask that this be on work time, and the management agreed. :)

Genius Andrew replaced my cable for free and I forgot to log out when we left the Apple Store.  We then went to Target, Staples, Kroger, Lowe's, and Wendy's.  So I haven't been waiting all this time for a genius.
