I like Blue Bunny ice cream. I had it in Florida but have never seen it here.

Will be eating dinner shortly, then on my way to hear a choir concert.

Methinks Singdaw should put more music in his life.  ;)

Enjoyed the article on the airport carpet.  Didn't know about that.  I like it.

Too bad about the replacement design.  At first glance, I thought "what is it, fish?"

I have no news. I did the laundry, paid bills, went out for tacos, and did a few other things. I revel in no drama.

Jane, re cholesterol, I am pleased with my progress, but I don't know how much I would have made with the Red Yeast Rice alone. I think I had to make the dietary change as well.

Jeanne I'm sure you needed the combination.  Did I understand you correctly that diet alone didn't work until you added the Red Yeast Rice?

Whew......I had to turn down a film part today because I am very self conscious about some of  my teeth.....doesn't matter much onstage.....but I am afraid to show them on film......it could be scary.

What was the part?

Longest ovation?  Either the end of Bette Midler's 1973 show, the end of Cleo Laine's concert in 1976 or the riot in town Hall in 1985 at the end of the glorious "Some Girl Is On Your Mind" in the New Amsterdam Theatre Company's concert of Kern's Sweet Adeline.

I am going to begin my day with the laundry.  It's time.

DR elmore--do you remember who sang "Some Girl is on Your Mind?"  Was it the same cast as on the Showstoppers CD?

No. It was Judy Kaye, Richard Muenz, Scott Reeve, David Hickox, and the men's chorus

Thanks!

No, I cut out the beloved chocolate mousse and started the Red Yeast Rice about the same time. I also want to try lyprinol again (the oil of the New Zealand green-lipped mussels). I dramatically cut my LDL several years ago just using lyprinol, but it's an expensive product and I loathed the super-aggressive MLM company that sold it. I recently found a cheaper version--not MLM--that I plan to try. I wanted to test after using just Red Yeast Rice and the dietary change to see how far that took me. Now I'll try lyprinol again.

Just arrived from Amazon.com:  the 2-CD New Broadway Cast Recording of On the Town and the newly released Blu-ray/3-D Blu-ray of Kiss Me, Kate

I, of course, have neither a 3-D capable TV nor 3-D Blu-ray player, so I'll just have to make due with watching it in 2-D.  If I ever do get a 3-D TV and player, I'll be ready.

Piano sounds great - have to get used to the slightly duller sound now, but I couldn't play the other hammers without extreme ear fatigue after five minutes.  So, if it continues to sound dull (mostly in the lower register) he can adjust the action a tiny bit.  No more noises and sticking or anything - just like a real grand now.

I accidentally unplugged the power cable with the TV, cable box and DVD player.  Now my TV will not play.  It's plugged into the cable box, which is on and rebooted, but the TV is dead.  When I disconnect it and plug it into an outlet, the TV plays but there's no reception.  Every time I've called TWC for help, I get customer service people for whom English is a third or fifth language and I cannot understand a damned thing they are saying.

On the fourth phone call, I got a lovely lady whose primary language is English, and I have a cable technician coming on Wednesday morning to check out the mess.

Thank you DR Kevin.  I'm tempted to move near Craig, which would be out your way.  We will stay someplace on the West Coast.

Good luck.  What is in the mousse that is so bad for you?  I think of it as low fat even if it has lots of sugar.

A BUNCH OF MORONS:

Apparently, the Texas DMV is operated by a bunch of morons.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I got our auto license renewal notifications.  We had our cars inspected and, about the first of this month, we sent in a check for the amount the notification said was due.

Today, the check and all of our renewal paperwork was returned with a handwritten notification that we had underpaid the bill by about $20.00.

WRONG!  We paid the exact amount that was requested in the notification.

I spoke to people at both the DMV and the Travis County Tax Assessor's Office.  They admitted to me that it was their error and that MANY people were sent a bill with the wrong amount due.  Their response: "Well, you should have called us and asked the correct amount."

My response: "If I have to call you, what's the point of mailing out a bill?'

This is your tax dollars at work, folks.

 >:(

All too typical for Texas.

The mousse I make has egg yolks in it. Could that be it?
