I woke up in the night and couldn't breathe.  Haven't had that happen in about 5 years.  Luckily when I went to the doctor she suggested I get an inhaler just in case I needed it and I needed it.

I had an inhaler for awhile but it made me very shaky.  I hope you don't need it very often.
I only use it when I can't breathe, not very often

My niece is the closest person I know of to the explosion.  I'm sure she was at work at the time.

TOD:  I think it would be Tony Bennett at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo.  My brother was home on leave from the Navy and took me.  It was around 1970. I remember my brother joking before the show that Tony would probably sing the overdone Little Green Apples, and sure enough he did.

Dreadful explosion this afternoon in the East Village:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/26/us/new-york-explosion/index.html

The daughter of one of my co-workers (who posted this info on FB) lives in NYC and heard the explosion!  She (the daughter) was far enough away from it and is fine.  Whew!

Big explosion in the market,
Seven people burned to death;
In the crowd stands wide-eyed Mackie
Only slightly out of breath.

I was just perusing articles at Playbill.com and read that Kander & Ebb's The Visit is having their very first preview tonight...actually, it started a half hour ago!  I hope it goes very well.

And now, I'm off to the theater for the final rehearsal and only preview of "Laughing Stock" at Olympia Little Theatre!

I'll have a report...eventually!

We had a nasty  lightening storm earlier today - it must have been right above the office the lightening flashed and the thunder crashed simultaneously , the building shook and all the cars in the parking lot began blinking and beeping and howling
