One of the more interesting images in the deleted scenes of Life Itself is a photo of Roger Ebert sitting at a grand piano in his home with a copy of the The Complete Lyrics of Ira Gershwin next to the music.

The movie never said he played the piano, but I recall he was a fan of musicals. He even gave At Long Last Love a three-star review.

Chas the Vixter had a combo platter, filet and a 1/2 rack of ribs with mashed and broccoli

I had the Texas rib eye with loaded baked potato mushrooms and a house salad with ranch dressing

We both had freshly baked hot rolls ( we watched them pulled from the oven and popped into a basket ) with slatherings of honey butter

You always have Costco, Vixmom.

There were moments today when I was seriously considering that option

Jealous of dinner.  But not of your day at work, DR vixmom.

It was truly bad  I turned on my computer at 7:45 and at 7:47 I received an email that guaranteed the day was shot

I can remember that happening to me a few times, via a phone call or an email.  There was never anything worse.

DR Ben I use my Overdrive app to access my library.  It works for both e-pub & kindle.

That wasn't what I meant by my comment. I know that Overdrive works with Kindle. I'm saying that Overdrive lets you return e-pub ebook files which are different from Kindle book files. You cannot return a Kindle ebook once it's checked out but you can return an e-pub book when you've finished it. It's why I will not take a Kindle ebook if I have a choice between Kindle and e-pub.

It must be the way my library has set up their OverDrive account, because once a title is checked out no matter what format (Kindle, pdf, epub, etc.), it can't be returned.  You can return a title after you hold is placed and you've been notified that it's available, but not once you've actually checked it out.

I just finished watching "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."  Their plot doth thicken.

Watched the little puff piece about Imitation of Life - nice for the Juanita Moore interview alone.

Then I cleaned up some stuff in the working script of the Sami show and finished all but two lines of the new song I've been playing with - it's really cute, I think - called Note to Boys.  So, I know there will be one more song - a ballad.  So out of fourteen songs there will be three ballads, although a couple of others, while not ballads, have lilting kind of music.
