Are you seeing more progress, Tom?

In what regard?

Are you feeling better? Is the cough subsiding?

Yes, thank you.  The cough is bothering me less and less.  But boy, did this episode take the energy out of me.

I know what you mean. I spoke to a friend today, whose husband is NEVER sick. He had the flu and still has the cough. My friend was sick as well. I've heard lots of stories like that from this year's cold & flu season.

I thought I had managed to make it thru the worst of the flu season.  Then I go on a Caribbean vacation and I get sicker than usual.

We have a low flying helicopter outside.

Oy.  They're finally on to you.  The jig is up.

We get a lot of those.

It might just be from our military base.

When I lived in California I was forever flying to the East Coast for business. I moved to DC and was suddenly being sent to the West Coast. The first year that I lived in DC I made three trips to Seattle. I was never home.

ON THE TOWN has settled in and the director needs to come back and kick some butt.  One of the three leading ladies I didn't like last September is now so over the top that nothing she says or sings, except for "Some Other Time," has any basis in reality. To say I loathed her performance is being generous. I found her embarrassing.

As for the other five leads, theu and Michael Rupert are really good, and the choreography and orchestra are amazing. I didn't care for Jackie Holloway in september, but I think she's got her head around the part now and she's very funny.  Same holds true with the actress playing Lucy Schmeeler.  It's a fantastic production.

What were you doing in Bremerton?  Or if you told me would you have to kill me?

Something like that. I think it was the production automation project I worked on for the Navy. I recall very little of the it now. I do recall having a weekend off and we all went up to Victoria, which was a delight. I also recall eating some wonderful salmon.

Perhaps I should say Native American. But in this case it was Native Canadian. Or Native North American.

Either one I suppose.  I was thinking of the flowers blooming.

I didn't realize that Elaine Stritch was the voice of Norman's (dead) grandmother.
