THE TWIST

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a surprising twist that no one saw coming, and now it is time for you to post until the twisted cows come home.

That is JulieC40, of course, whose birthday is today - not to be confused with Julie Miller (VP of MAC, co-author with me & Skip of the musical Viva Max!, whose birthday is in December).

I could of course look that up, but then I'd lose a post.

Good morning, all.

I'm on my way out the door, to get my snow tires swapped for the summer ones and to get an oil change.

Might get one for the car, too.

We watched another good film last night: A MOST VIOLENT YEAR.

Deliberately paced, but totally engrossing.

Offhand, I can't think of an "cheesy" thrillers from the 80s or 90s.

Good morning, all!  I could not get to sleep last night and, as a result, I will e in a near-coma state most of the day.

I am off to Toyland; I have  to wait for a small shipment from Staples, and I will pack up everything of mine that I wish to ship to the Miami U library.

I will check in from there.

I've had the most interesting dreams the last few nights.  The other night I dreamed about Liz Callaway; the next night I dreamed about Bobbie Gentry, and last night's dream is still being sorted out.

Glad DR Vixmom had a better day yesterday. I hate hearing when such a caring hardworking person has it bad.

Thankfully the temperatures look like they will be on the rise in a few days. So i should be able to start biking again starting this weekend assuming the snow melts.

Very funny video in the notes!

TOD:

So many.....but a couple in particular.

Point of Terror - about a "singer" who works at the local Crab House and chases after his girlfriend's daughter.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HxeswcL8lY

Sting of Death - although it is from 1965....featuring this lovely tune by Neil Sedaka, who makes an appearance, singing at the local Crab Shack

Back.  They said I can get at least another season -- maybe even two more -- out of these snow tires, which I find delightfully amazing because this was their TENTH winter.    Yay!!   :)

(I try not to leave them on any longer than necessary, and I'm as easy on them as I can be.)

Thursday morning greetings!  I may have broken a toe this morning or it may just be severely jammed, but it HURTS!  Not enough to keep me from doing one errand already, though.

Thanks, DR JRand.  Paramedic Rob just took a look and said it may be broken, but there's really nothing to be done for it.  I already knew that from breaking a toe on the other foot about 20 years ago.

I waited one week after my cousin brought me all of the pages that people had written for my late cousin (her sister)....I scanned the pages, placed them in a folder, put the folder on DropBox, and yesterday sent the link to all of those who left their email addresses.

And so today......someone wants to know if it's too late to send me their memory page....

I said.....well.....after I said what I said to myself....I said.....no, just email it to me as a PDF document and I will add it to the folder......   ::)
