Although the entire show is actually a bit under two hours with intermission.

Although gangster movies (along with Westerns) are my favorite film genre, I've never been much of a fan of their sub-genre, prison movies. Storywise, there is only so much you can do in a prison movie.

That said, I love the prison sequences in WHITE HEAT with Jimmy Cagney. Indeed, it's my favorite Cagney movie and the best gangster movie pre-THE GODFATHER.

Good morning, all! Last night, just by chance, I came upon some material I have been looking for since last Saturday, so that will occupy some of my morning. Then, I will go to City center, see Joshie, and help him prepare fr Tuesday's orchestra reading, which is at 10am.

Most of tomorrow will be Encores! work as well.

Saturday morning greetings! It's a beautiful day here in SW Ohio and 2 signs of spring have appeared:

1) Richard started replacing the storm windows with screens and

2) The Jug, the burger jernt up the street from us, opens for the season today.
