I didn't much like MAD MEN last night.....I am annoyed that NEW people keep being introduced when I just want to see the regulars.  If you only have seven hours or so to wrap up six years, I would think you need to dedicate every minute to the people we know.

I'm saying this in ignorance, having not yet caught up to these episodes.  But I totally agree with that sentiment.

TOD:
I think a couple times I've slept for 10 hours after pulling an all-nighter the night before.

The shortest of I've ever slept was 90 minutes, which I did TWO nights in a row, working on a project for work. It gave me a splitting headache and a sour stomach. I left work early the second afternoon to go home and sleep. My mom called wanting directions to my house, but insisted on calling me back an hour later to get the actual directions. I don't know why I didn't just tell her I needed to sleep. Well, it didn't matter because even though the phone was right by my bed I slept right through all her ringing. She thought I was mad at her and just not answering.

TOD:

I think the longest I've ever slept was the weekend I started life without caffeine. I started on a Friday and had the worst headache from the withdrawals. Then I went to sleep early Friday and stayed asleep for most of Saturday and Sunday. I think I was conscious for about 12 hours the whole weekend.

Monday, when I went back to work, the headache was still there and I was exhausted. I slept for about 10 hours a night for the next week.

About two years prior, my staff had helped me when I gave up smoking. They said -- and I agree -- that that was fairly easy. But they told me I so horrible when I gave up caffeine that they would never go through that again.

Keith just avoided an idiot driver who changed lanes while drinking coffee and didn's seem to care we were where he wanted to be.

Thanks, DR Jane.  Yes, my results were fine - no cardiac blockages.  Now I just have to get this foot healed so I can start walking for exercise again.

LWOP for Jodi Arias.

The judge was very stern in letting her know that she knows she is a liar without remorse.

I'm up after exactly eight hours of sleep.  And now to look at the 107 e-mails waiting, sixty of which, of course, are spam.

Still catching up with posts from the last two days. Regarding breaking a tooth on rice, I broke a tooth while eating a creamy sweet potato pie.

Daniel Auteuil, who was so good in Jean de Florette, has written and directed a new version of the Fanny trilogy. Only this time, it's two movies, "Marius" and "Fanny." I watched the first over the weekend and loved it. I'm a sucker for Marcel Pagnol. And the two lead actors are gorgeous, which doesn't hurt.

Maybe there was a chunk of hard brown sugar in it, otherwise that is more insulting than rice.
