Thanks, DR FJL.  I'm just relaxing with a good friend of mine, Mr. Johnnie Walker.

I think Jackie Gleason had a very interesting career.

One of his first major roles was in an Edward G. Robinson comedy, Larceny, Inc. The plot has been recycled many times: a mobster gang buys a store adjoining a bank. The store's basement aligns poifectly with the bank vault. Trouble and hilarity ensue.

Love LARCENY, INC.

It's been years since I've watched THE HONEYMOONERS, and I can't name any particular episodes ... But I love 'em all.

ChasSmith, wish I could drive up to Cincy to meet you.

Also wish I had a glass of your friend Walker now.

We celebrated Mom and Dad's 60th anniversary today. Mom made a coconut cake and one sister came in to join in the fun.

There were 8 slices, 2 for each of us.

Umm...Jane?  If there were 8 slices, shouldn't that be 4 for each of you?

;)

We had to be nice to the packers ;)

I was really hungry and excited when Keith came home with the pizza.  I wasn't expecting it and was very happy to have food.

Well then, that make sense...and very thoughtful of you.

I agree.  Wish i could do that!

DR Jane - are your belongings going straight to the new place, or somewhere intermediate while the renovations are being accomplished?

After work, but before the concert, I had a major audition (singing, not theatrical). We got the material to prepare less than a week ago, and I've been stressed and not sleeping well over it.

I think it went pretty well, but I won't know the results for a few weeks. If the news is good, I will share it at that time. Otherwise, I shan't mention it again.    :)

We have had a steady, gentle rain here for most of the day. It was sorely needed. Well, perhaps not as much as in California. But needed, nonetheless (that's one word).

We are due for some rain tomorrow. My American Cancer Society "road to recovery" driver is taking me shopping tomorrow.
