I think I'll finish watching that strange French series, WITNESSES. Highly rated (by others), but I can't figure out why. It's not bad, in my view--it's just not great. And it's strange. Those of you with Netflix streaming, watch the opening credits and tell me it's not strange!

Sunday evening greetings!  I had a great time yesterday at the wine & chocolate walk.  Shortly after I got home, Richard and I took off for Dayton for supper at a favorite deli then on to Huber Heights to the new concert venue.  The concert was quite enjoyable, but the venue is alongside west-bound I-70 and the traffic noise is quite intrusive.  How did that truck driver know exactly when to blow his horn to ruin the mood of "Some Enchanted Evening"?

We were out later last night than we should have been before a Lima morning and, of course, I did not sleep well.  Made it through church and lunch, but then I dozed all the way home and took a 2-hour nap when we got here.  Fortunately, Richard was able to drive all the way home without needing to snooze himself.

Back from a full day of singing. I am tired. And really sweaty.      :P

But grateful that I have many opportunities to do what I really love.

Oh, the bum leg got its own room.  DR Michael is in another room altogether.

Back from a patty melt and no fries or onion rings.  Finished the last bit of patter save for what the July show will be - I'm waffling back and forth about it - thinking about Paul Williams, actually, which could be a really fun and tuneful show.

I've always enjoyed Paul Williams. He's so underrated. From his early career in "The Loved One" right up through the 1980s. Haven't seen much of him lately. That would be great!

Is it early Indian as in Toltec?

DR Jeanne, I love Indian food! There are so many good places here.  On a whim at market, i purchased two avocados, and I've eaten half on one. Really yummilicious!

I've had a lovely day to myself, reading The Book.  I do not think I will finish it tonight.

Glad elmore is reading The Book.  :)  Adriana's two biggest fans inhaled it yesterday - the first of them left the signing and wrote me three hours later that she'd finished it and loved it.  Her friend finished it late last night.

Mad Men in ten minutes - I'll probably let fifteen minutes go by so I can fast forward through the commercials after I start.

Excellent idea!

Wonder if there's a Carole King-type theatrical show in the story of his life as well.

This morning was my big gospel-style turn.      :)

This afternoon was Handel's Dixit Dominus, a half-hour choral work from very early in his career. Very florid!

Then we went out for Chinese. I had pork and fuzzy melon soup. Plus green beans with pork. Both just right.

They played 1812 Overture and Sibelius Symphony No. 2. He's principal French horn player and had some lengthy parts in both pieces. He also seems to have won an award for his efforts.

The neighbor across the street was in a garden show so we went over to look at her plantings. Very nice. And for some reason, I love the fact that she hasn't sealed it all behind some privacy fence.

After a dinner of leftovers we watched a DVD of Mom's favorite, Shirley Temple, Little Miss Broadway. Fun for the most part because it had every character actor in Hollywood, including Jimmy Durante, George Murphy, Jane Darwell and Enda Mae Oliver in the cast.
