How are you feeling, Dan?

Not too bad. Getting a bit worried for Wednesday's tests. Blood work, EKG and cardiology exam.

Ward Bond was part of the unofficial John Ford repertoire company, which overlapped the John Wayne rep company.

I don't believe I get ME TV.

I don't have cable. Phone and internet is expensive enough for me, so I have a over-the-air digital channel I bought at Radio Shack for $12. It's very light and I can move it around to get the reception I need.

The old antenna I had was given to me, but it's this big clunky metal thing that is not that easy to move around.

It would be interesting if Orson Welles' illegitimate children were both boys.  His four natural children were all girls.

I think that would be too. There have been many mythologies built up over the years about him. Some were started by Orson himself. But I've read that John Houseman grew to dislike him and would spread negative stories to hurt him.

Well, when you start to read BK's books, you should start with the Benjamin Kritzer trilogy first.

I think Orson's daughter Beatrice (mother: Paola Mori) is trying very hard to keep going with restorations of his movies as well as righting some wrongs. I applaud her for that. He was a very complicated man, but at the same time undeserving of some of the negatives about him.

Interesting how when you search for things on the internet, you end up with some strange combinations.  The search for Orson Welles children, keeps bringing up Marc McKerrow who was Rebecca son that she gave up for adoption.  I don't believe Orson ever knew anything about Marc.

Mad Men is over, of course.  I think there was probably no way for them to make anyone really happy - it's been a long journey and how do you just wrap it all up?  So, as with many episodes of the last two seasons, some of it worked and some of it was a little irritating, but in the end the final shot of Don and then what follows it was kind of perfect.  I must not have been paying that close attention this season, as a few people on the Internet guessed exactly what the ending would be.  Peggy had an interesting end of journey - perhaps too quick and pat, but it was fine and she was and will always be my favorite on the show, thanks to the superb playing of Elizabeth Moss.  The episode was also very Joan heavy.

You watched it already?  It's just on right now in my area.  There is just about a little less than a half hour left.

There's a Kickstarter campaign to Finish Orson Welles' Last Film.  They need $2,000,000 and they've so far raised $195,375 (10%).  They still have 29 days left.
