Time to leave Toyland.  The work is done here for today: I have my printouts and a bag of more possessions to tote home.

Well, I would choose Annette over Connie because of Annette's most pleasant personality........

I added Dodie (who had a big hit with "Tan Shoes and Pink Shoelaces" because of a DOT album she did.  I got it accidentally when it was in the cover of an LP I purchased.

Surgery VIBES for TCB!

A lot of us have either had or will eventually have the cataract thing, and I hear nothing but great things about it.

My dad had the surgery when he was 83! I wish they could have done something about his hearing as well.  When I rook him to the BMV to renew his license at the age of 85, the young man behind the counter said, "Mr Moore, look in that screen and tell me what letters you can read."

My dad said, "What?"  And the young man repeated his comment.  My dad processed it for what seemed an eternity and then said, "yes I'm wearing new shoes."

Oy!
.

That hearing process screw-up happens to me at times :(

Elmore, that reminds me of a conversation Kerry and I had once in a diner.  (They had photos of Marilyn Monroe in one corner.)

Me: "We can sit in the Marilyn Corner."
DR Kerry: "What porn?"
Me: "Popcorn???"

DR Sandra was in stitches.

Bruce, you really should switch from Tylenol to an ibuprophen (like Advil). Ibuprophen is not just a pain-reliever, it also shrinks inflammation, which I'm sure your arm is also suffering from. So, it will actually help with healing, not just masking pain.

Be careful to protect your stomach if you take Ibuprophen.

Thursday morning greetings!  Second book group meeting of the week is tonight.  I liked tonight's book more than Tuesday's.

Watched the final Letterman - he went out simple, which is the best way.  Then the James Corden Late Late Show comes on and within ten seconds you realize just how influential the Letterman show was on EVERY talk show in existence today.

I lost interest in Letterman after he thought he was Charlie Rose. He changed when he went from NBC to CBS, yes, but his early CBS period was okay, the latter half he changed IMO to try to be Cavett which he was never. Sometimes I would slog through Letterman just to get to Craig Ferguson which was frankly more entertaining. Funny thing, Paul Shaffer was always the same.

Good morning, all!  It's a Toyland day: I have two of the last three Gentlemen, Be Seated! scores to print out and a few more items to tote home.

Great news about DR DanM! May the success in your health long continue.

BK, I am seriously worried about your arm.  I hope you get your butt to that chiropractor ASAP.

Thank you so much!

Can I exchange today for another? I'd rather be stuck on a Tarmac for two hours again, like Monday. At least I had a meaty Balzac novel to read.

Not a fun day at work.

I awoke at ten thirty after nine hours of sleep but just stayed in bed and fell back asleep. Still in bed but will probably get up soon and see what's what

I don't think that you can have both a policy from the healthcare exchange and receive Medicare benefits.....but that's if you qualify for it because of age.  I am not sure about DR DAN M's situation.  Maybe DR SINGDAW knows.

I canceled my policy beginning August 1 when my Medicare begins....the month I turn 65.

That is correct, DR Jrand64. Typically, once you are eligible for Medicare, you are ineligible to be covered through the exchange - at least, with any kind of discount or subsidy.

Yes, because my insurance was paid for by subsidy.....that's why I canceled it.....

DR JEANNE my BE ACTIVE brace is helping the pain somewhat....it's still there but it is not quite as severe.

I think it may help more as the day goes on.

The brace is for sale for $20 on the website, but I got a new one on EBAY for $6 including shipping.

Search for BEACTIVE Brace.

Stayed in bed and slept.  Something I ate last night was poisonous or didn't agree with me - I am so sick right now - blechhh.  I've avoided throwing up thus far and maybe if I just stay in bed I can continue avoiding it.
