Eng-a-land swings like a pendulum do.

If I hadn't been crazy before this popped into my head, I certainly am now.

Errands are run.  In what I can only call a monumental brain fart, I just screwed up my banking for the day.

I don't think I've been to a barbecue in 35 years.  the last i recall was 1979 in New Haven, CT, and it was all Indian food, since it was at the home of an Indian professor at Yale. It was really excellent, quite delicious.

For years, growing up, my mother's family had wonderful barbecues on Memorial Day and July 4th, at my Aunt Jean's in Hamilton, OH. There were usually five of my mother's six siblings and their families, and the food was pretty much the same, but my mother's sisters and sisters-in-law were all good cooks.  There were always grilled hot dogs, bratwurst, and hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, a green salad, a jello of some sort, several pies and cakes, along with tons of cola and beer.  At least one of my uncles got really tipsy and my dad, God bless him, often got roped into driving my aunt, uncle, and cousins home.

My mother was one of five girls and only she and my Aunt Jean, the most liberated woman in the family, drove. The other three never learned to drive, and as my mother got older and crazier, she really resented driving her sisters around, but it was part of her general passive-aggressive behavior.

DR Ginny is just traveling to the airport to meet DH Richard, who is flying in to join her.

No, DR Singdaw, I'm flying from San Diego to San Francisco while Richard flies from Cincinnati to San Francisco. We're meeting in the rental car center at SFO.

I'm all settled at my gate and will board in about 45 minutes.  I think Richard is somewhere over Colorado.

TOD:  What DON'T I like at BBQs?

I love BBQd:

Chicken
Burgers
Steaks
Shrimp
Peppers
Green Beans
Asparagus
Corn
Potatoes
Onions

And, of course, the "sides", like potato salad, green salad, potato chips, pickles, watermelon, cake, pie, etc.

Sigh.

Happy to say we have finally set the last piece of the Kritzerland puzzle - our guest star: the wonderful Gloria Loring - Liz Chandler from Days of Our Lives (now the third person I've worked with from that soap - Kevin Spirtas, Matt Ashford being the other two), but I knew her from her 1968 album Gloria Loring, Today on MGM records.  She also was married to Alan Thicke, and with him wrote the theme songs for the TV series Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life.

Good morning. I was invited to a nighttime photo shoot opportunity, so I was up until midnight. Then I had to be up at 4 to take my daughter to work by 5 a.m. The buses don't run that early.

The overall sleep deficit on HHW right now, for one reason or another, is pretty overwhelming.
