Fun reading about the reunion of the original Broadway cast of Into the Woods.

What great activities you have planned DR Ginny!  Do you do a lot of homework ahead of time, or do you just go with the flow once you get there?

DR Singdaw, yes, i do a lot of homework and we work with a basic outline.  We always know ahead of time where we'll stay each night and I have ideas for things to do and see.  But, we allow ourselves quite a bit of flexibility, too.  For example, I know in Monterey we want to visit the aquarium, the Carmel mission, and the 17-Mile Drive, but we don't know exactly which day for what, nor the order of things.

Apparently film composer James Horner has died in a plane crash (his plane).  It hasn't really been confirmed - just that whoever was piloting it had not survived the crash - and since no one has heard from him since it happened this morning, everyone, including his assistant has said it has to be true.

Got distracted by an impromptu cocktail party out on the neighbor's deck. A delightful, cool summer evening.

Sounds like fun.

Story written. Lousy movie over.

The ending was rather strange. The drag queen bikers were all hung at the end on the front lawn of the befuddled fascist soldier. Rather nasty.

Well, rats, the Apple Company Store closed for renovations a week ago today.  Oh, well, gives us more time to spend at Stanford and on our scenic drive to Monterey.

Someone texted me and I responded.  Then they responded "who is this?"  I responded "You wrote ME a text?"  Then they sent me a screen shot showing only MY text.  She said it was coming from my e-mail address.  Say what?  So, I went to Google and searched and found the answer - I have to say the default settings for the iPhone 6 are completely stupid.  It was defaulting to my e-mail address that I used for the cloud.  I read up on the fix (had to go to two different sites) and the second time I was able to fix it, did a test, and now it's showing as from my phone.

The Hollywood Reporter and Wikipedia say that Mr. Horner ia dead, so it must be true.

I'm sure it is, but if you look at those stories, it's all coming from one place - his assistant.  What I find odd is that no one has actually made an official statement about it.
