VIBES for Cilla, when are you scheduled for your surgery?

Next Wednesday, the 15th. I check in at 8 am and surgery is at 10.  I'll be home sometime in the afternoon.  I'll try to check in and let you all know how it went

 when I had mine I was in the hospital for 3 days -- but then again I had mine while I was still recuperating from chemo and was still using a feeding tube so it is probably not reasonable  to compare experiences

Overheard at the funeral I attended yesterday  "I don't want to be here.  All the funerals I want to go to never happen"

That's terrible!  So why am I laughing so hard?

If they can do it laproscopicly, (I know it isn't spelled right) it's same day.  If they get started and need to do open surgery then I'll be in the hospital for three days or so.

I don;t know what happened at work today   everything was going so well - it was  1 pm  and everything was on track and then suddenly it was 5:15 and all hell broke loose

When all hell breaks loose, just stand up and say, "Get thee behind me, Satan." And head for the door.

they did mine that latroscopicwhateverway and the scarring is really minimal and the healing went very well

I have had absolutely no problems since so I wish you the same success

Thanks.  I am confident that it will go well and after the pain I went through last night after eating very little fat, I want it done asap.  I want to eat again

But as I said it is hard to judge by me because I had not eaten any solid food for over 4 months at the time I had my surgery  and I was still relearning swallowing  so your recovery and resumption of normal eating will probably be much faster

when that happens to have to cover your face with both hands and bow your head and people will just think you were overcome by emotion  LOL

This weekend I will clean the house as much as I can.  I've been doing a little here and there, but I really want to come home to a nice clean house.   I may not do it all, since it is my birthday weekend, but I'll do a big chunk of it.

I was in the emergency room and begging for pain meds (which they told me I had maxed out on  to no good effect)  and the doctor came and told me he was going to need to do surgery but wasn't sure if they could do it the lathrowhatever way   -- I told him - "I don't care if you go in through  the sole of my foot, just get the damn thing OUT!"

My surgeon said after about 2 weeks I shouldn't have any dietary restrictions, but there are people who have problems longer than that

It was while people were arriving and milling around and others were smiling and chuckling at things so it wasn't a big deal
