I now have 4 books checked out from my eBook library.  I seriously doubt I will be able to read them all in time.

This one is completely misidentified, which was easy to figure out - it states the car is driving down Vine and turning right on Hollywood Blvd.  Obviously someone who knows nothing about the area.  The car (1940s) is in fact driving down Cahuenga (you can see the Halifax Hotel on the right - I believe the building is still there and may even still be called the Halifax Apartments.  When the car turns right onto Hollywood Blvd. two blocks down you can see where Vine actually is, and then on the right you'll see the Warner Theater prior to its becoming the Warner Cinerama.  Then the car does a left turn onto Wilcox.  I LOVE this stuff.  Oh, judging by the movie that's playing at the Warner, you're looking at 1944 Hollywood Blvd.

Well, I must be off.  Tonight is Theater Artists Olympia's monthly board meeting and I must be there, so I must leave work early.

Until later!

I need to figure out how to get a grip on searching and bookmarking that collection.

Just took a peek at a daytime color NYC one with 1962/63 movies up and down Times Square...

And NO STRINGS...

Yes, there are two clips in that series - do those links here - you can see what Times Square actually looked like when NY was a real city - you will see dozens of movie theaters on that drive - and not ONE of them is left.

:)

I told Keith about your problem with the insurance company.  His first thought was the same as mine, that the hospital didn't bill it correctly.  When I explained they were just as surprised and it was the insurance company he ranted against the ins. company on your behalf for awhile.

DR Dan M posted this update on FB early this morning:

Quote
I know it's been awhile since my last post, but recovery is not as easy as I thought. I'm still on a soft/pureed diet, fighting through nausea at times. I can only dream of regular meals. I know I have lost weight. No more painkillers either. Once I get back to regular meals I'm hoping to gain some weight so I don't look so hungry. Please continue sending your good thoughts and vibes, and if you can, donations. The medical bills just never stop. Thank you!

Am listening to a cue from "Mission to Mars", one of my favorite Ennio Morricone scores.

Did you hear that Morricone is writing a new score for the new Quentin Tarrantino movie that's coming up? I think it's called Hard Eight.

"Driving Miss Daisy" with Angela Lansbury and James Earl is on some PBS stations this Friday, the 17th.

My DVR is set!

Could I ask you for a copy, kind sir?
