I guess I am just feeling nostalgic tonight.

The other day I was looking thru real estate ads for mobile homes up in Auburn, where my mom lived for the last ten years of her life.  There was an ad for her mobile home park, and when I opened the ad I gasped because I thought it was my mom's home.  But it wasn't it, but it looked so familiar to me.  Then I realized that it was the house across the street from my mom.  It was where her friend Ellie lived.  Ellie was the lady driving the car when they were both killed.  It was spooky.

I'm sorry, TCB. That must have been a shock.

All this cheerfulness was probably too much for him

Actually, I've been here, but I'm sorting through several months' worth of e-mails.  I haven't downloaded them to my computer in a while.  I've just been reading them on-line and letting them pile up.  But, I want to sort and organize them and it's taking a lot longer that I had expected.

We had a storm last night with 70 mph winds.   They sounded the sirens (they are doing that now for straight line winds over 60 mph and tornados)  Since I have big trees around I decided to wait it out in the basement with the cats.   I didn't have any damage, but there are lots of trees and branches down around the area

Will your new lawn service be able to clean it up for you?

I didn't have any damage, but I saw quite a bit in the area

I figured you still had leaves, twiggs and a little bit of a mess.

But the horse comment reminds me of the other really annoying commercial they are showing.  I have no idea of theproduct they are selling but the commercial involves a bikini glad sexy women lying in the surf in a provocative pose while her white horse talks about wow natives it is they are selling but the whole thing is do annoying a food distracting that I haven't been able o discern the message they wish to convey

Between my bad typing and iPad randomly changing words I appear to be qualified to be an advertising executive as I cannot clearly convey the intended message

No.

I can't even remember the context of that quote. But I knew it needed to be posted here.

I am glad you did.

It was back up to 93 in Tacoma today.

It was even hotter here but not muggy which was good.

I am fortunate that I never had to worry about that with my mother.  But I wouldn't recommend having a parent be killed as an alternative.

Oh tommy I didn't mean to open that wound

No, it is okay.  I have often wondered which is harder.  Losing a parent in an instant, or watching them wither and die slowly over a period of years.

I'm sorry, that didn't come out sounding the way I meant it.

I expect both are equally horrible.

Well, TCB, it's just the way that life is. I can't imagine losing a child. Parents you expect to lose.

But not so young.

I know.  And you are correct.  But expecting to lose a parent, and actually losing them are two different things.

So true.
