I spent a considerable amount of time this morning scheduling two eye surgeries, three post-ops, one pre-op, and then rescheduling a dental appointment to accommodate the above. I am continually amazed at how little information patients are given, and of that which IS given, how much is contradictory. I know it's not just UCLA.
When today's scheduler person said, "Now get out a piece of paper and a pencil," and "Write this down," I bit my tongue. Surely the admin staff can be taught to be clear, concise, and professional. I have no doubt that UCLA can attract top-notch doctors, but their admin staff REALLY needs some improvement!
