DR JOHN G - the 1985 London recording of 7B/7B has been available for a long time....Amazon says 2005....but I've had it since at least 1989......

It's not so hot.....maybe the new one will be better.  I really don't like many of the "added" songs, but there are some new ones in the revised version of the show that are much better.

ASK BK

Are you going to have Sammy Williams recreate his show stopping number "Musical Comedy" from your show Stages?

or

Darcie Roberts doing one of her numbers from Busker Alley?

Good morning, all.

Forgot about that recording, JRand. Maybe because it's British and I didn't want to hear that mingle with Bless Your Beautiful Hide.

Congrats on the $25!

But yes, they owe you another ,000,000.  When is that coming through?

I wish it would!  Not because i want it for myself; I would like to have a foundation to restore, record, and make available for performance American musical theatre written before 1950 and a foundation to award sums yearly for various causes and educational programs i believe in.

I wouldn't mind having a few million for myself to support me, family, friends, and personal causes.

That would be a very good way to spend those millions.

Wouldn't that combination make a great comedic cabaret number, though?        :)

I can just see someone singing the song as Julie Andrews.  Or doing the number as a parade of personalities, starting with Julie, hitting Carol Channing about midway through, and ending with Ethel Merman.

Bang the drum quickly or slowly - as long as it is to the beat of your own drummer.

Note that this does not really make any sense. If you're beating the drum, you ARE your own drummer.

Oy!

I finished up the full scores of Gentlemen, Be Seated! and then looked at the early scores for The Golden Apple, which have a completely different finale beginning with a different Sewing Bee number using the melody of the final duet, ther arrival of Ulysses with four suitors, his fighting them and driving them off, Penelope's Tirade as it still exists, and the final duet "We've Just Begun."  I'm wondering how much of that played at the Phoenix before the producers moving the show to Broadway forced them to drop "We've Just Begun."

I just got a call from my mom.  She said that my aunt was having some pains, so she's taking her to the emergency room.  :(

So the plan now is that I'll go to my sister's around noon-ish and my parents will bring my aunt there when they're done at the ER.
