TOD:

Research, pondering and instincts are my decision-making tools.  Then, when I'm ready, I feel the fear, but do it anyway.
.

That's about the same process for me.  It all depends on what the decision is about.

TOD:

I tend to make decisions and act on them very quickly. If I make a decision too slowly, I call that procrastinating, which never does me any good. I don't always make the right decision, as I've certainly ignored some red flags, but it's not because I made those decisions too quickly. There were times when I should have gone with my instincts, but didn't. Certainly age and experience has been the biggest factor in helping me make better decisions. All my worst decisions were made in my 20s. For instance, I moved in with a roommate who was a terrible roommate. All the warning signs and red flags were there. I saw where she was living and saw she was a huge slob. I also saw that she had no money for first and last month's rent. But I moved in with her anyway. As I should have known all along, she not only rarely had money to pay the rent, but she rarely had money to pay utility bills either. She could never keep a job and was broke most of the time. If I didn't buy groceries, she would have starved. That bad decision ended up costing me about $1,500. But because of all the good decisions I had made, money has never been an issue for me and I didn't really miss the $1,500, even in my 20's.

I have been out playing so much that I have to stay in and get some work done today. Well, until I leave for a great spot to get photos of both the sunset and moonrise, which apparently occur at the same time tonight.

IJane we think it is possible that his wallet fell from his pocket into the gutter when he exited the car

Not taken by quick fingers then.  When we travel we try to wear clothing with zipper pockets and I wear a purse around my waist with the important stuff in it.  Sometimes I don't transfer everything until after we are inside the airport.  I think maybe I should transfer it sooner.

we are having a real wind storm kicking up in the Northwest.  They say this is very rare for August.  It is normally a November weather event.

That's what the TV news is saying.  I don't know one weather pattern from another.  But it is really windy.

It is very windy here.  There are branches down everywhere and the water looks a bit rough on the river.  I only saw one speed boat out there.  It is beautiful & clear.

Then it must be on its way.  They said our storm would be coming up form the south.

And now, I'm off!  I have to stop and get a pizza for my sister and niece, then my sister's boyfriend and I will be off to the Randy Newman concert!  I'll have a report when I get back.

Until later!

According to the "scientists" in the GOP there is no such thing as global warming.  And they know.

I am a bit worried: a check that should have arrived yesterday has not arrived today. Have I been ripped off by a postman?

So sorry to read about Vixdad's lost wallet and the ordeal it caused. I'm pleased the wallet was returned, even if it was sans cash. I hope the rest of his trip is quiet and uneventful.
