I think that is an old tube amplifier, DR Jane.

Thanks. We never had one of those and I don't remember seeing them.  I looked it up and the images I saw match the photo.

What is next to it?  That's the best piece -- a vintage tube amp!   :)

DR Laura do you know what bird looks like a regular Sparrow but has an extremely short tail?

LOL. I'm pretty bad with sparrows. The only thing I can think of with a short tail is a dipper. Is it near the water?

Thanks but it is not a dipper.  We are near the water but have only seen them on the lawn.

I am so glad that DR FJL and his ever lovin' Skip are unharmed, and that the fire was not any more catastrophic than it appears to have been.

You took the words right out of my mouth. So glad to hear it was contained

DR LAURA must be outside cutting up fallen down trees for firewood.

Well she needs that firewood.  Winter's coming on and soon the temperatures in Arizona will drop to 70 degrees.

Dean Jones, the first and best Bobby, IMO, has died.

I saw him as Cap'n Andy in Show Boat.

Oh ...that makes me sad

I had a haircut this morning, followed by food shopping. When I came home I tried to catch up on the laundry. A busy day doing mundane tasks. And I'm tired.

DR Ginny, are the stockings you're being fitted for Jobst stockings? Jobst was one of our customers long ago. I didn't work on that project, but my friend Mal did. He knows more than you'd ever want to know about compression stockings.

I wear leggings a lot for compression. I prefer cotton to synthetics and some of the higher-end leggings are designed to give compression. They're probably not as beneficial as Jobst, but you can toss them in the washer and dryer. I used to wear them under my jeans, but it's too warm here for that.

Got a package late today, and I am pleased to report that the movie MIRACLE MILE is now in my hot little hands.  The bad news:  I'm too beat to start it now.  So, tomorrow evening.  I reread BK's notes on it, and I can't wait.
