As I said last night was a great rehearsal.  The stage manager was finally backstage, and so I felt free of her squeaky pen writing line notes -

She of course missed a crucial telephone cue because she had forgotten to plug the ringer box into an outlet....we talked a bit and then I picked up the phone and finished the sequence....  She then of course ranted during notes that she was trying to ring the phone, but of course by then, I had picked up the receiver, so it wouldn't ring.

She also let us know she had been taking line notes backstage and would send them out today.....the director finally said that we didn't need them anymore.

She then took that moment to tell me that her parents were upset because I left her name out of the newspaper story about INTO THE WOODS....  I think it was a case of "cut and forgot to paste" because I had her in the first paragraph and didn't like her that high up in the story....but then I forgot to PASTE her in at the bottom.

OOPS.

Funny thing (or NOT so funny):  My home computer AND my cell phone require me to log in here on occasion.  Last night, I very much wanted to thank you all for the warm fuzzies of your birthday greetings yesterday.  Problem:  My log-in would not work.

I messaged Bruce and also Larry to let them know my heart was in it, but my computers were letting me down.

Bruce promised to look into it, and Bruce, let me say that I wanted to wait until I got back to work to check my "password document" on my personal drive on my work server.

Will try one more time...and will then let you know.

Otherwise:  MANY THANKS FOR YOUR GOOD WISHES.

This is a jury duty week....a major trial is brewing and I'm one of a two-pool body from which the court is selecting jurors.   It has been long, a bit boring, a bit maddening and infuriating (all the folks who "won't" display any reasoning abilities when asked yes-no questions).

I'd like to believe that most of the jury-to-be has been seated, but the attorneys have the right to excuse 20 jurors each and the defense seems to be eliminating anyone well-spoken with the ability to think and is openly in favor of the due process at hand.

We shall see what we shall see.    Meanwhile, I'm coming to work at 7 a.m. and working until 9:15 a.m. when I leave for court.  I return for the noon-2 p.m. lunch break and work some more.  Then I get off at the same time as work:  4:30 p.m..

It's a very busy week for me and I'm rushing, rushing, rushing to get things done.  It is, therefore, very irritating when I cannot post here from home in the evenings.

BRUCE:   Sorry, sorry, sorry!  I just logged out and used "new" information I found in my password document.

I am now able to log-in.   Thanks for your efforts. I had re-set my password back in May and had FORGOTTEN what it was, apparently.

Sorry, everyone, for not being here yesterday!

TOD:

I'll go with JRand's list and add dealing with the cable company to the hate side. AT&T is an irritation that should be flushed away.

I got a note from our DR Ron Pulliam to relay:
Currently not able to post at HHW and want folks to know how much I appreciate their greetings.  Bruce is looking into why my log-in info won't work!
.

Thanks for letting us know.

Vivian Eng was a lovely lady.  What we most remember was the fun and honest joy every time she saw Skip or us with our dogs.  She'd have the most enjoyable laugh and was such a kind person.

Fred, my condolences to you and ?Skip on the loss of your neighbor.

The laundry is finished, the mattress turned and we'll see what happens next.

I have to meet Joshie on East 14th Street at 5:30.  I may subway to 14th and 7th, take a crosstown bus to 3rd Avenue. I need to plan that trip this afternoon.

Back at work for the lunch break.

The morning was relentlessly dull and infuriating.  I did a lot of eye-rolling...for naught, of course, as no one is paying the least bit of "teention" to me.

12 people are seated with one of them awaiting his (or her) questioning.   I haven't kept track of peremptory dismissals, but both attorneys have to be closing in on 15 or so each (they each get 20).

I'm torn between wanting to have a say of my own and being perfectly willing to seat there and then be released with thanks.

Bored, boring, bored.  Sinuses acting up.  Small tension headache behind my left eye.

As I said last night was a great rehearsal.  The stage manager was finally backstage, and so I felt free of her squeaky pen writing line notes -

OOPS.

I wonder how unintentional was your oops ;)

More importantly, just how broken up about it are you?
