Spent a couple of hours at the theater with our lighting guy and stage manager.  Cues that needed adjustments were adjusted, several lights were put up, which really help things, and we went through all the cues and all should be well.

Eating Sharon McNight's nuts.  She grows her own almonds, roasts them and occasionally gives me some.  They're incredible.

I do not believe this day!

Three!

Judy Carne has also passed away..

She died on the 3rd, however, I just saw it in the news.

Oh, no!  I'd read about Jean Darling but hadn't heard about Judy Carne. :(

As for me I have been battling a kidney infection for the past five days. Waiting to hear back from test results. Since kidney disease runs in the family I am a little concerned.

'Star Wars' Introduces First Major Gay Hero!

The character is in one of the books, but it's canon.

The Labor Union picnic was fun.  I helped the cookers (I didn't cook, myself), but at one point, I did help serve.  They had hot dogs and hamburgers, watermelon, corn-on-the-cob, cole slaw, potato salad, sodas and ice cream.  It was all quite delish!

There was also a big inflated castle with slides for the kids, of which there were quite a few.

When I had originally signed up to help, I didn't know if it was held every year, or if it was held at that place every time.  I found out that it's in Lewis County on the odd years, and Thurston County on the even years, so next year it'll be closer to where I live.

And now I'm at home recording "The Playboy Jazz Festival, Part II" from VHS to my DVD burner (it's not copy-guarded!).  Right now, The Manhattan Transfer are singing "Birdland" accompanied by the group that had written and performed the original instumental version, Weather Report!

I had set my DVD burner to record Part I when I left to go to the picnic.  It turned out really well!

Sarah Vaughan is singing "Send in the Clowns."  I knew that she was on this, but I didn't know which song she sang until now.

Macadamia Nuts, covered in rich toffee, drenched in luscious milk chocolate, finished with a sweet dusting of powdered sugar.

Well, the battery in my tablet is down to about 15%, so I have to go for now.  I also have a couple of errands to run.

Be back later.

DR Amy I usually avoid mixed nuts, not because I don't like the entire mix but because too often they include nuts I'm allergic to.

Oh, come now, Jane, we all know that hazelnuts are your absolute favorite. ;)
