I'm off to a country-western dinner dance that some friends are throwing at the dance studio I go to. They bid on the party at a fundraiser and it includes dinner, drinks, the band and dancing. Who am I to say no?

There is a wake this afternoon for one of the theater friends/legends who passed away last week. It is being held at a local watering hole. I decided that I did not want to spend an afternoon in a tavern on the day when I celebrate my being sober for 22 years.
