Me too.  It brings to mind the record-playing scene in THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH.  I don't remember the particulars.  Isn't THE KING AND I one of the albums he offers to put on?

I do think we are the one generation or group of generations that can have such a reminiscence.  And not just because people don't grow up with actual records nowadays.  Broadway shows were a real part of the "dialogue" in our collective youth.

Mostly blue and yellow with a little red.  My first reaction was to send you an internet punch ;)  Oddly, this isn't nearly as bad as looking at other photos.

I am back from dinner with Val. No Chinese; we went to the French Roast and we both had the soup & baguette special: French onion soup with BLT and avocado on baguette.  Really tasty!

Of course, DR Elmore "Peanutized" me about 40 years ago:

Nice!  I have a picture of me as Charlie Brown at home.  I think I know where it is.  If I remember to find it, I'll scan it and post it. :)

The French Roast sounds like someplace we'd like!

TOD:  We had My Fair Lady, Camelot, The Sound of Music and Funny Girl.   I really liked the first two the best.  I didn't really become a Barbra fan till I saw the movie.

DR Laura--Brent B tells a similar story. He asked for The Sound of Music album for Christmas, expecting the soundtrack.  A relative gave him the Broadway cast album and he said who is Mary Martin ?

I fell back asleep - I think it was my tummy problems messing with me.  Up at about one, and have been relaxing.  Gathered up most of the sheet music I need and still have one song to choose.

Well, it looks like it's going to be a commuter nightmare tomorrow, with the
Pope in town.  I'm hoping that the big crowds will still be at the Mass when it's time for me to go home.  I don't there will be that much of a problem in the morning since I leave home at about 5:30 am.  I'm taking Metro as usual.

Well, it's time for me to leave work.  I'm going home, but in about an hour, I'm going downtown to see Irrational Man with a friend.

Be back later.

Oh my, we had all kinds of cast recordings when I grew up.  I remember South Pacific an mom and I would dance around to "I'm Gonna Wash that Man Right Out of My Hair".  I remember Brigadoon, Camelot, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Oliver, man I can't remember them all
