Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Went back to bed and slept for four more hours, which was nice but not enough.  Then I went and had a breakfast burrito (just eggs, a tiny bit of cheese, and frankly I'm not sure they even put any in, and onions) and some fruit.  Then I came home and my pal James Mulligan, the talented Disney artist who did the cover for Red Gold came by with a sketch of Sami as Molly, which is her closing day gift (along with the typed first draft of the title song of Welcome to My World, with my pen revisions, a scribbled note to begin the show with Molly doing the cell phone announcement, and a random line typed at the bottom, which is still in the show (with a slight change of last name).

There have been a few annoyances, I must say, but I'm washing them off as they come.

I'm sorry to hear about your former wife, Tom. I think it's very difficult to watch someone go through that. I'm not surprised it's affecting you.

Thank you all for the vibes. This morning I picked up Rx #3, which is the last one. I said to the pharmacist, "There have been so many glitches, but I don't think they were from this end." She   replied, "Shared responsibility." Since I don't use many drugs I'm really not familiar with all the procedures, but I'm learning! One problem was that she and the other pharmacist couldn't get through to the surgeon. I'm so glad I started this early--it took 10 days to fill 3 prescriptions!

UCLA also verified which eye comes first. So I can now proceed on Sunday. I truly hope this is the end of the problems.

I've been to the bank, stocked up on groceries, and am now doing laundry. After the surgery I'm not supposed to exercise or clean or lift anything heavy, and I don't know if I'll be able to drive.

Thanks, Jane. I'll check in as soon as I'm able. There have been no restrictions on computer usage, but we'll have to see how quickly my eyes adjust.

Bruce, are many others at Sami's school working professionally? She's gained such a lot of experience at such a young age.

I don't think many at Sami's school are doing anything but going to school.

Well, it's time for me to leave work.  Tonight is the official opening night of Theater Artists Olympia's original production of "The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!!" Redux.  I think I'll be able to post during the show, as long as I pay attention to what the heck I'm supposed to do during the show. ;)

Until later!

Greetings from Ohio!  It was hell getting here.

At 6:00am, I confirmed the  flight was on schedule, only to arrive at LaGuardia to be told by a  US Air check in lady at 10:30 that it was canceled and I could take the 7pm flight and arrive in Dayton around 10:30.  After I carried on like a whore in church she booked me on a 12:00 flight to DC, transfer at 2:19 to a flight to Dayton arriving at 4:15.

So, the first flight was late, we boarded and sat on the runway forever and arrived in DC at 1:50. I also had to take a shuttle to another terminal for Gate 31. The kind man in the seat next to me checked flight status and I had read it wrong: it was 2:49, so I made the second flight and arrived in Dayton around 4:30. However, to my dismay, the Budget rental car, which I guesstimated at around $300 came to $556, so I now have very little money and I still do not know why the fuck it's so expensive.

But I am here in once piece.

Friday evening greetings!  Busy with errands today, which is why I'm just now checking in.  I visited with Mom and she was not as loopy as she was on Tuesday.  She'd had her hair done, which always makes her feel better.
