I'm up, I'm up.  Nine hours of blessed sleep.  Had I not set the alarm I'm sure I would have slept another two hours.

DR George - can you remind me again of the name of the play you saw?

Thanks very much for the detailed theatre reportage!      :)

You're welcome, Sing!  The play is called "Recent Tragic Events," by Craig Wright.

I am still thinking about the play DR GEORGE described.....not sure it is something I would like....

Of course, my description might not be the best or most accurate.  I'm sure that there are better descriptions available online.

Back is still bothering me. But it's a little bit better. It was at its best last night when I made a cocktail and gave up caring about it.

Guess you will need to do the same treatment tonight.

In the name of medical science, yes.

I'm on hold with the furniture company trying to get them to let me return my desk chair I can't use instead of exchanging it.  All their desk chairs are the same design and I don't weigh enough to get them to roll around.

I've been to my high school alumni luncheon, and it was wonderful! I saw so many friends I hadn't seen in years, and the gossip flew fast and furious.

Now we are talking about the damaged door to the buffet.  The new door arrived today and the color is off, plus it is missing the hinge to replace the damaged one.

I see I posted "Las Olas Boulevard" this morning without adding "in Fort Lauderdale".  Like it matters.  But I hate when I do something like that.

If 1961 and 1962 aren't the two greatest consecutive years in film ever, then I don't want to know what were.

But whatever.

As a film lover, however much I love it all, I really do worship at the altar of 1955-1965 -- give or take.

After I FINALLY got off the phone with the furniture store we went shopping.  I found one store that carried the Saucony shoe I have been looking for to try on.  Since I desperately needed a new pair of shoes, and they only had one in my size, we went to the store.  We found, to our pleasant surprise, a wonderful little running store and we each purchased a pair of shoes.

The store also had a four month old English Bulldog puppy named Bella who belongs to the store manager.  We had a great time playing with her.  She is still at the age where she wants to chew on every shoelace, not good when the shoes are all new ;D

On our way to the shoe store we passed a New Seasons Market which has the best Cotswald cheese in this area. So far we had only been to the Portland stores and not the Vancouver one.  I now have delicious cheese, creamy European butter for baking, and their incredible almond cake.

Tonight I will finish packing and leave for the airport tomorrow morning, after breakfast with my cousins Jeanne and Sue Ellen. I could use some vibes for both the flight to New York and the flight not being cancelled or rerouted.

Thanks!
