I will be directing ON GOLDEN POND the July production.....and I will be doing it as a revival with four members of our original cast returning.

Of course the woman who repainted my floor last summer spoke up to say that she didn't think ANY show should be precast and that everyone should have a chance.  I said there might be a LOT of people who THINK they could do a better job, it is unlikely that anyone could.

No matter how many auditions we hold, no matter how many new people we use in every show, no matter what we do, people still complain.  And guess what?  Those who complain the most?  Well, I've NEVER seen them at ANY audition!

I liked the studio at the Kaufman Music Center, and I accomplished all I needed to do in about 45 minutes.  It's nice and handy, and I'll be using it again.

A few hours of rest, then I go back for more.

And so it goes.

Good afternoon, all.

The cedar pollen has arrived and a great deal of mold is in the air, do I feel groggy.

TOD:

Mad Max: Fury Road was probably the only movie I saw in the theater. Loved it.

Others on DVD:

The Last Five Years
Pitch Perfect 2
Ex Machina
Love & Mercy
Going Clear
Far from the Madding Crowd
Tomorrowland

Last movie I saw in a theatre was The Wizard of Oz. For its 75th birthday.

Today would have been my dad's 94th birthday. I still miss him enormously.

I know what you mean. My Mom's birthday just passed on December 6th, which has been sad for the past 8 years. When I made coffee on the 6th, I made a cup for my Mom in a special cup and saucer. My Navajo friends told me that this is nice to do for our loved ones who we miss. So I tried it this year. No matter we will always remember them, and miss them.

I've written out the arrangement of the first verse, and I'm ready for a nap.

Picked up a package, did some banking, a screener just arrived (The Martian), and I made myself two extremely low-cal sandwiches.

Another warm day in the Nation's Capital.  The temps should gradually go down in the next few days.

Thanks Kevin! My volunteer driver took me grocery shopping today. He's sort of playing the role of mentor, even though I don't think he intended that.
