These aren't my sister's cupcakes, but they're very similar to what my sister made.  The frosting was not bright white.  It had actual espresso to darken it slightly, but she did use a swirly tip when she frosted the cupcakes.

Topic of the Day:  probably my favorite thing that happened this year was that I was cast in the play, "Laughing Stock" and received a lot of compliments on my performance.  The director had me in mind from the very first time that he'd read the play, so that was nice, too.

I auditioned (authentically...I was NOT pre-cast), but I was involved with a reading before the auditions, so I felt like I had a leg up.  It was a great experience and a LOT of fun.  I'm so glad to have been the opportunity to do it. :D
