I'm still at home, just getting ready to burn TCM's broadcast of "Ben Hur" onto a DVD for my dad. It won't be done by the time I leave to go to my sister's because it has to run in real time...all 3 hours and 42 minutes of it.

I LOVE Miss Fisher. I bought S3 sight-unseen, unusual for me. I do feel they've maintained the quality of the writing and they've kept the same, wonderful characters. How/where are you watching it? Netflix?

Yes she has good genes.....she turned 84 today, and that picture is from about 18 months ago.

So, I spent Christmas Eve and most of Christmas Day in the hospital.

Yesterday afternoon, I started to feel a tingling numbness on the left side of my face, neck, shoulder and left arm. Of course, Sandy and I are thinking "possible stroke," since both my father and maternal grandmother died from strokes. Thus, about 2 o'clock, she rushed me to the emergency room, where I was subjected to a bunch of tests and admitted to the hospital.

I didn't get a wink of sleep last night because somebody at the hospital screwed up and did not put my medications onto the computer, so I was not given my sleeping pill.

Today, I had an MRI and a couple of other tests and, thankfully, they all came back negative. I was released me around 4 o'clock.

The likely culprit is the stenosis and arthritis in my neck, which my regular doctor is going to give me an injection to "cure" in about a week.

Fingers crossed that it will solve the problem.

I bought Season 3 as soon as it was announced with a bit of my lecture money.

My corner bodega is open every day. I'm not sure of the supermarkets like Gristedes or the Red Apple, but the bodega is a fast easy place to shop.
