Tuesday morning greetings!  I've surrendered to whatever this is that I have and made a doctor's appointment for this afternoon.  I'd really like to be well before I have to fly to Boston a week from Friday.

Very interesting to read about the Jason & Faith show.  They are both graduates of the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and I have programs that indicate that I saw both of them in productions on the Showboat Majestic in the 1970s.

That's pretty darned cool!  I remember seeing the national touring company of "The Secret Garden" at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle years ago, and much later I found the program and saw that Amanda Naughton (from Rupert Holmes' "Remember WENN"), Audra Ann McDonald AND Roger Bart were all in that tour!  I, of course, had no idea who they were at the time, but I certainly have heard of them since. :)

I saw STREET SCENE in London in the 1980's, and a real standout in the show was a then-not-famous Catherine Zeta Jones.

This isn't Media Friday, but now and then I remember to take a tape off the shelf to enjoy, and to give the deck a workout (because the worst thing for electronics is not using them for a long time).  Today's quite wonderful pleasure was:

A magnificent performance (isn't the Second one of BK's favorites?), and the tape sounds like a million dollars.

I am watching some television.  We had some snow flurries this morning, but nothing major and no snow remained on the ground.

Thanks, DRs George and John G.  Dr. Frazer thinks it's allergies, probably to the cat who lives upstairs.  She spent quite a bit of time downstairs with us last week when her people were away, including some lap time with me.  I'm on the Kroger equivalent to Claritin and hoping for the best.

Thank you, DRs JRand and ChasSmith!  I also might be slightly allergic to the real Christmas tree that's been in our living room for a couple of weeks.  My mother used to get sick about this time every year and they finally determined that was the cause.  That's when we started using an artificial tree in my family.

Nice photos from last night's show, BK!   I've seen Jason and Faith separately but would love to see them together.

Loved the clip of Ed Sullivan on What's My Line.  BK--have you seen Rosalind Russell and Irene Dunne as the mystery guests?  Very funny!

I left the office at 6:12 and by 6:27 or was wearing my warm flannel Jammie's, sitting in the recliner, under a cozy blanket and sipping one of the remedies.... Hit tea with lemon, honey and some whiskey

Had a grand lunch meeting, picked up the proof of Welcome to My World and came home.  One look at the proof told me I have to redo the entire thing, and that's what I spent the rest of the day doing.  First off, they didn't print the spine, so that's their fix.  But I completely redid the text - on the computer screen it looked fine but the reality was different - text too big - so I knocked it down two points and that's much better.  I also hadn't realized the text was ragged on the right - all professional books, including plays, have the text straight at both ends, so that was time consuming but pretty easy to do.  I found a couple of things to fix.  And I'm determined to fix the spacing on the lyrics - the text has perfect spacing but the lyrics, which are all in caps, seem to have much wider spacing even though it tells me it's less than the text.  So Doug Haverty will look at it tonight and see if he can fix it.  Changing the text size reduced the page count to eighty and if I close up the spacing on the lyrics I assume we could lose another five pages or so - so I'm going to add more photos.
