WRITING, WRITING, AND MORE WRITING
« on: January 08, 2016, 12:34:19 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had writing, writing, and more writing, and now it is time for you to post until the writing cows come home.

Good morning, all!  Last night I had a nightmare about a ghost puling the bedclothes off my bed. The bedroom in my dreams was not one that I recognize in any time of my life.  Al I remember of the dream now is getting over my fear of this spectre and fighting with it for the sheet and bankets before I began yelling something like "Get out of here! Go away. Bother someone else.

And it did.

My 3rd DVD of Midsomer Murders Season 15 is defective, so I watched the first two epiodes of Broadchurch, which I liked very much.

This morning, I will meet my friend Dominic McHugh at City Center. I finished the last round of work for Tuesday's orchestra reading, and I'll see if Joshie has any more for me iver the weekend.

I had a lot of dreams last night.  that was the first I remember.  I know there was one about Ireland, but that one is quite vague now.

I forgot to mention the other day that my copy of the Welcome to My World script arrived from Amazon the other day. I bought it there before I realized that signed copies would be coming from Kritzerland.

In any case, it really does look quite wonderful, and I look forward to reading it to get the context of the songs from the album. I really hope that the self-licensing thing works out great for you in the long run.

Here's an interesting quotation from David Patrick Stearns's review of the New Year's Eve debut of a new production at the Metropolitan Opera of Bizet's The Pearl Fishers:

Quote
The chatter-prone audience became blessedly silent when Kwiecien came inside from the storm scene and shed his wet shirt. For that reason alone, he should've kept it off.

the first two episodes of Broadchurch, which I liked very much.

I enjoyed the British original very much. Not so much the American re-make. Season two coming soon!

My kitchen light has burned out.  I need to drag out the ladder and replace the bulb. Oy!

It's an ordeal.

if i have time i will watch two CBC productions from the mid 80's of Stratford productions of The Mikado which went onto Broadway and The Boys From Syracuse which features Eric McCormick (Will & Grace) in a small role.

I also started watching the making of The Boys From Syracuse from a Northwestern University production.
