And a very happy haineshisway.com birthday to dear reader Ben, who, it would appear, seems like he isn't returning, even though we miss him and wish he would, and also dear lurker Iris.

My physical therapy referral arrived yesterday, so I can call and set up an appointment.  It may be on Thursday since I will be at City Center today and tomorrow.

Today will be a long day. Music is coming in and we must be finished tomorrow so Joshie has Thursday to do fixes, print scores and orchestra parts, and tape the orchestra parts for Friday's band rehearsal before the sitzprobe. I can't believe the show opens next Wednesday.

It's Elaine Stritch's birthday?  She was a handful.

I liked her very much.

TOD:

Absolutely no memory of what my mother fed me.

However, for breakfast, my grandmother, often fixed diced ham scrambled with eggs.  We called it "Cut 'n Up".

Yes, DR VIXMOM, I think our friend at the funeral home notified Social Security as well.  The $255 death benefit will be added to your mother's check automatically.

IF your father had already received his SS check for last month, it will be taken back.  They do NOT pay a benefit for the death month.  This was surprising to me because SS was always held back a month anyway.....but they do it.  So her first check will be her new benefit plus the $255 minus his last month's check....  You will get a letter explaining it.
