I went frame shopping again today. This was optometrist #7. They don't stock the frame I wanted, but they are willing to order it for me. It's a Gucci frame and more than I wanted to pay, but it's the only frame I've found that fits me well. My insurance will cover some of the cost.
In Virginia, I had an optician who was excellent. If she didn't stock something I wanted, she'd ask one of her staff to find something for me. And they did. That level of customer service seems so rare now. I don't understand it. Yes, it takes some of their time, but it's also a sale.
