I don't recall ever eating anything in Spain that was spicy during the months that I lived and vacationed there. Of course, that wouldn't prevent an American chef from putting his or her own mark on anything in the form of spice. I have had paellas here in Texas made with chiles of various kinds. But it's the way we eat here.

I want to. Loved the book and the Russian version that Bonderchuk directed. I even sort of liked the BBC version, which seemed to have been filmed on a 50 cent budget. (I think that was the first time I had ever noticed how cheap a production was.)

Well, I was wrong about the lineup for the concert tonight. There was Bernstein, but it was his score for On the Waterfront and the Chichester Psalms, sung by a choir of more than 100. The Piazzola piece was his concerto for bandeon, a type of accordion, and the soloist was astounding. The whole piece was something else. Really enjoyed hearing it and another piece that was new to me, Danzon No. 2 by a Mexican-American composer named Marquez. Will have to look for more work by him.

Maybe I will give it a try and it was the fish flavor/smell I didn't like.

Most of the reviews call it pretty, as in Downton pretty, more than good.
