OH! And speaking of my "real life" back in Richmond...
It seems that once I get back there on Monday (before turning right around and heading to NYC Tuesay morning), I will be coming home to:
-A "new" bathroom: new floor (no more patchy tile work), new vanity and a new sink!
-A repaired front porch - there were two floor boards that had holes(!) in them.
-A new screen door for the back door.
-A new door for the back door! The old was starting to droop really bad on it's hinges. *Which means we can now keep the back door "open" during the cooler weather since we now have a screen door! Yippee!
Hopefully, the mice have not returned, but even if they had/have... ah, well.. My roommate hasn't spotted anything, so... <fingers-crossed>
And I do have to give my roommate, Christopher, some sort of "props" for having to deal with the bathroom deconstruction/reconstruction. He actually had to go out of town last week, and we were hoping the landlord would schedule the work for the time when both of us were away. Of course, the work started the second day I was here in Houston. The dust, apparently, was horrible! But he made do, and managed not to fall through the planks that were laid down in the bathroom while the work was being done. -And, thankfully, our upstairs neighbor let him use her bathroom when needed.
OK - I do need to get to the post office...
