Stopped back at Target tonight, mostly to pick up Shrek 2.  But I also picked up Pee Wee's Christmas Special (with commentry!) and two more $1 DVDs:  Betty Boop and Little Lulu.  I've seen many things in my life, but I've never seen a Little Lulu cartoon.

Got JOEY and WILL & GRACE both watched today but no movies, so it looks like it will have to be tomorrow before I get to THE NAME OF THE ROSE. Really looking forward to seeing it for the first time since I saw it in the theater.

We got another numbered choreographed today, and, of course, I've been going through it all afternoon and evening (during commercial breaks of programs I was watching.) This number ("In the Convent" for those of you familiar with NUNCRACKERS) will be the most demanding one for me in the show, I believe. Most of the rest of the things I'm in are stand and sing numbers with simple movements rather than specific dancing.

I'm restless.  I'm going out in the Jacuzzi in a few moments, but may take a swim first, since the pool is also very very warm right now.

Good Evening!

Interesting show tonight... Our Richie had an accident/injury mid-show, and ended up not dancing the Finale.  However, he did stay through the "Alternatives" section and "What I Did For Love", but he didn't come out for the Finale.  -And during the "Alternatives" section, you could tell the whole notion of "How would you feel if you had to stop dancing?" was hitting close to home - I could tell from the way he was talking that he was starting cry on stage.  Hopefully, come morning, he'll be all right.  Or at least well enough to make it through the show with some modified choreography.

-His understudy actually snapped his Achilles the other night (ouch!) during the opening number, and he's been out since Wednesday.  So...  We'll just have to wait and see (as Morales says..)

GOOD HEALING VIBES!

*We just have three more shows to go too!

OH.. in a more light-hearted vein... One of the swings took "Richie's" place during the finale.    Now, our Richie is about 5'8"-9", very muscular... and black - like Richie is supposed to be.  Well, the swing that came in is tall - 6'5"+, lanky and white.... so... You could just sense the "Who is that?" vibe from the audience when he came out during the opening Bows section of the Finale.

I bought SHREK 2 for myself tonight, and just finished watching it.
May I say two words: JENNIFER SAUNDERS!

(I bought the movie for Dame Julie's participation, but, I'll be hitting Chapter 17 for quite some time to come; I might even have to buy the soundtrack cd for Ms. Saunders' shining moment).

My favorite "splurge" has been the Complete Ella Fitzgerald Songbooks box set.  And what a box set!  All those mini-album covers, a separate book, and the alternate takes!  Musical heaven on earth!  -And the Arlen ones are my favorites.
