I have a question for our resident HHW tax expert, DR FJL:

Typically, the IRS (or state taxation agency) reviews my tax return when I first submit it and will sometimes send me a letter regarding an adjustment. I was told by a friend that if they review it later, perhaps a year or two later, that they can only do that once, ie, they can't keep coming back and saying you owe more money and more money. Even if they missed something.

Can you confirm this?

Thanks!

I'll send you a PM based on what I've seen.

That should be: Do most people in Copenhagen speak English?

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I found this 2012 BBC Proms broadcast of "The Lusty Month of May," conducted by John Wilson, and it's the complete Broadway number, including all of Trude Rittman's dance arrangement, which I heard when I saw the show around 1962, but which I never thought I'd ever hear again.

I asked Trude why the dance music had so many meter changes - 2/2, 6/4, 2/2. 3/4 - and she told me: choreographer Hanya Holm could never count.

Thank you, DR Elmore - that's exactly what I needed after visiting Mom.  It's so depressing...

I'm sorry, Ginny, that it is so depressing.

Thanks, DR TCB.  And I'm sorry to whine so much about it...

No, I avoid "creative" when it comes to taxes.

I agree.

Speaking of taxes, today is the deadline in Virginia.   I'm glad I filed mine at the same time I did my federal return.

I always say I lost my father twice, the first time to dementia and then again when he died.  Both were very hard.

Then Ken's diabetes started acting up and my scooter started to fade so we headed back to the hotel.

How long will a fully charged scooter last?

I don't really know.  I just try to keep track of the number of green lights on the dial.  When they start to go out, I know I need to start heading back to my charger.

How much time do you have left at that point?  When you ran out of the charge on the ship did you forget to watch the green lights-lol

Yes,they do.  I think one clerk was kind of insulted when I asked him if he spoke English.

I think the cobblestones used up the energy faster today than smooth surfaces normally do.

That would make sense.  Did the scooter work well on them?  I would think it would.

DR TCB does a standard adapter work to charge your scooter?

Do you mean for the plug-in?  I had to buy a Danish adapter

Yup.  So just a standard adapter, nothing special then which would have been inconvenient.

In Germany, I didn't want to presume that everyone spoke English so I usually asked.  There were a couple of people who only spoke a little and a woman at the bus stop who didn't speak it at all.  Everyone else seemed fairly fluent.

Tomorrow will intentionally be a low-key birthday for me, as I'm not 100% sure whether it will be a tax-office day.

Just having some friends over in the evening.  Skip will make a cake, I'm sure.

Well at long last, I may have convinced the PTB to put LAUGHING STOCK on our schedule for next summer......

They are also considering CURTAINS.....I ordered the CD, but the script hasn't been published, so it's a bit of a mystery of a mystery.....

I know some Dear Readers have seen it, so you might enlighten me with your opinions.
