Tuesday morning greetings!  My friend Robin is picking me up soon for the spring luncheon of Middletown Current Events Club.  I was a member back in the late 80s/early90s, but dropped out when I went back to work.  Looking forward to rejoining and spending time with these ladies again.  If you've read Helen Hooven Santmyer's ...And Ladies of the Club, you'll have a pretty good idea of what this group was like 100 years ago.  And may still be...

I'm up after a rather irritating night of little sleep - I literally have to not eat after eight and certainly no more garlic or onions.  My tummy just cannot deal with it anymore and that's all there is to it.

So, waiting for the eleven-thirty phoner, then the helper is bringing Lanny's charts to me and then I'll head over for a meeting about the projections.  No time to eat at all but I really don't want food right now.

Here's a fun tally - how many Tony nominees have appeared on albums I've produced?

Back from a lovely luncheon, where I visited with lots of people I hadn't seen in a while.  In the 1987-88 directory for this group I was listed as "Mrs. Richard Palmer (Ginny)" and in the 2016-17, I'll be under my own name along with my cell phone number and email address.  Guess a few things have changed...

Back -- from buying cat food, wandering through Costco without buying a damned thing, and wandering through Stew Leonard's and buying just a few things including a Powerball ticket.

After 5 and a half hours, I told Joshie I was heading home, said goodbye to him, his brother Jeremy, and Eric Dietz and hopped ioto a No. 7 bus.  Ut was a good day.  I am 2/3 through this damned title song.  It's endless.

I'll work on it tonight.  There's much to do tomorrow and Thursday, so I want this off my back.

DR Elmore, what exactly is it you're doing with that title song?  Or anything else in the show?  I know you said orchestra parts weren't in great shape.

I had nothing except a cup of coffee this morning, and was kind of craving a bagel, so I just satisfied that little craving with an everything bagel, lightly toasted, with cream cheese.  And another cup of coffee.  I'm kind of rarin' to go and thinking of having a third (and last, or I'll be up all night) cup.  What the hell, I don't have to be up all that early tomorrow.  And I could stand to get a lot more stuff done this evening.

My friend Glenn died this morning with his wife of 63 years and his son near him.

When I get home tonight I will be making his favorite style of martini (gin only, lemon twist) in his honor.

It is shocking to see Mrs. Richard in the 80's.

This is a very traditional group, DR Jane.  And I think they went with our own names in 1988-89...

I was happy to see that Laura Benanti, Zachary Levi and Jane Krakowski all got Tony nominations for "She Loves Me."   I think Gavin Creel deserved one too.
