I just woke up from a much-needed nap and am still groggy. Must degroggify.

We had a few drops of rain this morning, and yesterday, too. It's such an event! People say, "It sprinkled this morning!" They are astonished.

My Uncle Bob did pass away yesterday.  He had a long and productive life.  He was married for many years to my Aunt Jan who passed away last year.  They had three children.  I don't know what the plans are....but there will be a memorial of some kind for BOTH of them in the next couple of weeks.

He was one of my mother's brothers.  There are now three children left....two girls and a boy.  Three of eight..... :'(

My condolences, DR JRand65.

This afternoon we had a video chat with our "lost" friend.  He has been busy since we last saw him, two more wives and two more sons ;D  He is doing well and happy.  He was in our wedding and Keith was his best man.  It is a shame we lost contact and couldn't find each other all these years.

DR Jrand65, I've got those 1776 programs scanned, along with another thing that might lend itself to the display.  However, my printer has started putting out some crappy results.  I'll tend to that when I get back, then get those things off to you.

Hi all !  Thank you so very much for all of the wonderful Birthday wishes!  Not a very exciting day.  Started with my shorts on backwards, did the usual grocery shopping, had my hairs cut and stopped off and got some wings to go.   I shouldn't eat that kind of food.  Got home, put said groceries away, ate my wings and fell sound asleep in my chair.  Woke up around nine.

Was going to have an adult beverage--which (since I don't drink) is always a special occasion but now I feel like the heck with it.  It's to late.  And that was my day.   :).

The problem actor is gone - thankfully it was an easy go and he brought it on himself totally.  While we were running act one, a little plastic bag fell out of his pants pocket.  It was eventually picked up and given to the stage manager.  It contained a small amount of white powder and from that you can draw your own conclusions.  You cannot bring an illegal substance on the campus of a community college and he's lucky the police weren't called.  So, the stage manager came to me and told me, and I told her to can him on the grounds that there is no discussion when things like that happen on a campus.  He then came to me and swore the packet wasn't his - that he borrowed the shorts he was wearing from a friend and that it belonged to said friend.  Do I believe that?  Not on your tintype.  Why?  Because the little plastic packet pretty much explains everything that's been going on.  Good riddance.  I reassigned things for act two and on we went.

The lighting has been a constant irritation for a few of the actors - because we're in a small space and the stage is at the angle it is the spot and the moving lights are closer to them than usual and they're blindingly bright at times, so we've been trying to make that easier on the actors who are having problems, but without making things to dim in a musical comedy.  Funnily, Robert Yacko, who is in the exact same bright lights, never has a problem with it - and when I went up to see how it was like, I didn't either.  But you have to adjust because you can't expect an actor to give a great performance if they're blinded or annoyed by lights.
