There is not a single comfortable spot in this room, my back hurts.

Darn...that's not great. :P

Walking this evening helped.

I have never been a fan of peorogies , however, the cabbage/mushroom one at dinner were heavenly.  The onion soup was also delicious

It's not been a lazy day, but I did have a nap. So that was good.

TOD:

The Pirate (I agree with you, Elmore, on her delivery of the line, "He asked for me.")
Easter Parade
Summer Stock

I haven't seen I Could Go on Singing, so I need to correct that.

Just bought a set that included For Me and My Gal, The Harvey Girls, Summer Stock and In the Good Old Summertime.

Started watching something called The Star Wagon, a televised play starring Orson Bean, a very young Dustin Hoffman and Eileen Brennan.

This is a bleak Saturday for television: Lawrence Welk on one PBS station, a fund drive on the other wth Suze Orman pimping her CDs, DVDs, and books, and Two Broke Girls, which is te nadir of intelligence and comedy. What a piece of crap.

I agree with Jane and vixmon that Bruce should see a GI specialist. I don't know how Medicare works, but with my HMO, I have to see my primary care physician first and then she refers me to the specialist.

Funny, I thought I had removed the fact I agreed after Keith said that it might scare Bruce. ;D

Scare Bruce into what? - into getting proper medical care, proper medication, and feeling better? What's so scary about that? ;-)

And a GI can make that determination.

Back from a Chinese chicken salad.  As I was leaving one of my usual waitresses at Jerry's was doing a check and realized the party that had just left had given her a one-dollar tip on a sixty-dollar check - a group who probably were so stupid they couldn't add or thought they were leaving a ten instead of a one.  I felt bad for her so I gave her the difference.

Saturday evening greetings!  It's been a lovely family-filled day here on Poinciana Road.  I picked my sister up at their hotel at 11:30, stopped at Kroger for lunch stuff, and got home in time for the arrival of DN Laurel, her ever-lovin' husband Jim, and 13-month old J-Dub.  He entertained us for a couple of hours and then they left to attend a graduation party.  My sister and I picked up her daughter at the hotel and the 3 of us visited Mom.  When we left there I called Richard to put the lasagna in the oven and DN Laura called Olive Garden to order salad and breadsticks.  She picked up her dad at the hotel, the food at OG, and we all gathered back here for dinner.  Rob and Mary Linda are here, too, of course.  Sister's fam left about half an hour ago and I'm exhausted.

Tomorrow we'll gather here again for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.  Our grandmother always said she knew her kids and grandkids would either be at the race or listening to the broadcast and we won't let her down this year.

Ginny, how is your sister?

She has 2 black eyes, but the swelling is subsiding.  Her knee, which was wonky before her fall, is very painful.  Thanks for asking.

And now, I'm off to the theater.  I just balance the TAO checkbook (we made some money on the last play!), and I need to get the money till for tonight's reading of Elizabethan poetry.

Last night we had 11 people, and we usually do better the second night (of two), so there should be more people tonight...hopefully.

Until later. :)
